ooc: this is set directly after Athena gets the cure from Vi <3

Finally! Finally this would all be over. The Heiress skidded to a halt in front of Eris's den, kicking up a dusting of snow in her wake. It wasn't often that Athena's emotions ran higher than a low hum, often priding herself in her ability to stay calm in most all situations, but in this moment she couldn't contain her excitement. "Eris! Eris!" she called as she set the herbs down in front of her, her tail waving wildly. She didn't dare enter the den uninvited since she knew the sick wolves had been resting there, but she danced around outside the entrance, wating excitedly for the Overseer to come out so she could give her the news. Athena couldn't wait to give these herbs to Vereux. Her brother could finally be well. She could finally know if all of the words he spoke before were true.

She was nearly to her wits end. No herbs seemed to be working, alfalfa seemed to ease a few symptoms but it wasn't a cure. Nothing was working! Would Glaciem crumble around her? Would her skills and knowledge... simply not be enough? She laid on the floor of her den- her eyes on the sick wolves that resided there. Sendoa, Isardis, Kyung, Vereux, and Sin... five of the Glaciem wolves were ill- and if she didn't find some way to help them, they would die. Her mental fretting was interrupted by an excited voice outside. Curiously, she rose to her feet, moving quickly to the opening of den. "Athena! Calm down! What is it?" She said with a slight chuckle. What had gotten the young heiress so excited. She hadn't ever seen Athena so excited, had something drastic happened?

Discouraged. She was discouraged and losing all hope, the sick wolves weren't showing any signs of relief despite the testing Eris had been doing on them. Was there a cure to this disease, or were they all doomed to a sickly death? She would shake her head at the thought, her mind reeling as she sighed and stared blankly around the snow encased forest. Her audits would perk as Athena's voice rang out through the forest, her voice chanting the name Eris very loudly. This would put Liberty on edge, her ears flipping back as she took off toward the heiress' call, Ramses following quickly after her with silent steps. She seemed to be right outside the healers den, and so she would travel there first to see if she was- and of course, she was. The silvery woman would quickly come into view as she approached the den, Eris slipping from her den to meet the distraught girl. "What's going on Athena?" She would inquire as she approached with caution, azure eyes scanning over the heiress to see if she too had fallen ill with the disease.

Luckily Eris wouldn't keep her waiting, the healer quickly appearing at the mouth of the den. Athena's tail waved wildly behind her and just as she opened her mouth to tell Eris the news she stopped at Liberty appeared. She had apparently been louder than she had realized if she had caught the other Overseer's attention as well. She was glad to be able to share the news with both of them.

Athena nudged the herbs that she had sat at her paws toward Eris, a wide smile on her face. "It's the cure. The cure to the epidemic! The Covari pack figured it out, their queen brought it to us herself." She glanced between the two of them, her split-tone gaze holding more hope than it had in a long time. "She said that the sick are to ingest some of all three parts. Alfalfa, Horsetail, and Valerian Root. We can finally heal everyone." She wanted to give it to Vereux herself, but silently she knew that Eris and Liberty wouldn't let her near any of the sick until they were really sure the cure worked. She could wait to see him. Actually, she wasn't entirely sure she was ready to face her brother yet, but she craved to see him all the same.
