Freedom Soars
Adelphie
Her trek from the thicket brought her, now, to a vast expanse of grass and rock laid out in a way she'd never quite seen before. Stone jutted out from the soil in random spots, creating all kinds of nooks, crannies, and vantage points for Praxis to explore--and explore she did, hopping casually from ledge to ledge with a waving tail and attentive ears. By expression she hardly looked pleased, but her loose body language suggested otherwise. It wasn't often back home that Praxis could let her guard down as she'd been able to do here on Boreas--no, the boys were constantly getting in trouble, the girls pressed to maintain good appearances. Alongside Calixta, without any other loyalties, she was free to finally be her own boss and act upon her own impulses....Not that they were the most impulsive of impulses.
Those would be saved for whenever an idiot crossed her path.

It wasn't often the purple lady would travel East, in fact... it was all so new to her. She grew bored and needed to find purpose in her days and as she continued to walk, long limbs carrying her for miles, she would see a beautiful and vast display. The area was rather open, with large rocks hovering over her. Always alert, she was well aware of all the noises around her, from the crunch beneath her paws, to the whispers of the winds and a smell of... another? With little else to do, Adelphie would pull herself up onto a large rock, where she could see far and wide with the beautiful scenery before her. She felt at peace. Though she took a moment to admire the beauty she would quickly find herself jumping boulder to boulder until finally she was directly opposite another female, seemingly doing exactly what she were. She took in the colour of her fur. Like a fresh winters day and her mismatched gaze, just like her. Del always welcomed newcomers, respecting we all had a story to tell. " I hope I didn't startle you" She would call, a laugh escaping her briefly, perhaps the lady too was just looking for some purpose. |
Her mind had begun to wander, the rest of her almost on auto-pilot as she meandered about the rocks and crevices, content simply to go where her limbs took her and see the things her nose deemed worthy of inspection. Of course, most of it was much of the same, eventually leading her to keep her attention off her feet and seeking more of interest from the horizon than the ground. She wasn't about to complain, though. Just about anything and everything she'd seen so far had proven refreshingly...new, since her time in the Kingdom. That was, until something--rather, someone--appeared in front of her, starting an alarm in her head until she could catch up with her runaway subconscious.
Praxis had recognized that shade of purple, that speck of blue that was her company's eye, but upon closer inspection her lungs released a heavy breath. Whether that breath was one of relief or disappointment, though, not even she was entirely sure. This wasn't her brother but a stranger, her voice solidifying that label as she spoke, though her words encouraged the pale femme to push aside her initial thoughts in favor of a cordial smirk and a shake of her head. "Oh, no. Forgive me. I...thought you were somebody else." A single, dismissive chuckle, followed by a comfortable moment of silence as she fully took in the sight of the other. Perhaps...confirming that her senses weren't fooling her.
"Praxis," she eventually added with a dip of her skull. "Praxis Cyprien."

Adelphie stood tall and stationed, carefully eyeing up the woman before her, at first it would seem the woman recognized her, not sure whether looking happy or disappointed by that. Until alas the lady spoke, exclaiming she thought she was some one else. Hmm. It is not often Del is mistaken, there is very few wolves who look anything like her and in an instant she wanted to know more, or perhaps she was simply expecting someone else. She would laugh softly " I'm sorry to disappoint... my name is adelphie" She too would greet herself, before hopping to another look, again looking upon the views. " The views are beautiful here, huh? what brings you here? You don't smell as though you belong to a pack" Unless she was mistaken, which she rarely was. PErhaps this lady too was seeing how life was like alone, to see where the next adventure would take her. Weeks had gone past and Del was ready to find greater meaning, to find a band.. a pack... or simply a purpose. Just something to keep herself occupied. Del decided she was simply to active and grew bored far too easily to have no partner in crime. |
