Being completely alone might have unnerved the small silver and black child but the truth was he really did not understand. He did not realise his mother whom had brought him this far not only into this world but also into the woods had left him. Likely gone for good. Reality had no sunk in yet for him as he sat alone peering up at the canopy above and his mothers words replaying over in his head. If you want food you will have to stay here. There are packs nearby and one might take you. I cannot feed the both of us anymore. I'm sorry... It was tradgic but all he could think about with a growl from his empty stomach was how nice it would be to get some food.

As the late afternoon sky was slowly creeping toward darkness a thin veil of fog was beginning to blanket the ground, his attention now turning towards his ebony socked paws he could no longer see. Gasping slightly to himself he begun lifting his forepaws up one at a time to reveal them as if they had popped back into existence before stamping down on the soft earthy ground once again. At least he'd found something to preocupy himself away from his ebbing hunger pains.

Blindness was something he was beginning to get used to, but not by any means enjoying. He couldn't mope around the Armada forever and he needed to start doing things that bettered the Armada before he had his newfound position ripped from his paws. He enjoyed being Reaper of course, but it was really hard to enjoy anything when he couldn't see what he was enjoying. Just about the only thing he really enjoyed anymore was spending time with Deathbelle, even if he had to imagine her beautiful features and soak in the sound of her voice. He wondered if he'd ever even be able to see her again as he wandered around to look for Sirius to accompany him outside of the borders. He felt safe enough with the company of his companions, but he'd rather have the Warlord along for the walk.

The sun was dipping low in the sky, beginning to darken around them, but he only knew from the dipping temperatures. Thankfully their home didn't get too cold, but his other senses were picking up for his lack of sight and he could tell the day was getting later and it wouldn't be long before it was dark. He was eager to take some time out of the Warlords day to stroll around outside of the borders, to see if there was anything worth investigating. It wasn't long after they had made it to the forest, however, that Magnus picked up on a scent of rogues. It wasn't exactly uncommon, but the scent still made him question. Maybe it was because he had hardly left the safety of the Armada's borders, but he still couldn't get past how strange it made him feel.

"There were rogues here earlier. Not long ago, either." He mentioned, wondering if Sirius had also picked up on the scent.

The Warlord had looked for the witch that had hurt his Reaper, and found no sign of her. No evidence she had ever been. He was one part sceptical and two parts a believer in his wolf's story. He knew Magnus would not deceive him, and the strange loss of his sight lent credibility to the tale. When Basilisk had been dragged home with the help of his daughter, paralised and raving about a Witch - Sirius just wished this was a threat he could kill. He contemplated putting the paralised wolf out of his misery, but knew he would lose his daughter in the process.

He kept Magnus company so his Reaper could not wallow too effectively with his lst sight. Today, that brought them towards the Soulless Forest, where the mists were a constant presence. Rendering Sirius almost as blind as his companion.

Magnus caught the scent before he did - perhaps that was something that could be said for one sense shutting off - the others became sharper. A moment later Sirius caught it too, a woman had been her recently with her brood. Marshal, who winged further ahead, and seemed to have better success penetrating the fog let out a soft coo. “What's that bird found now” Seer murmured frowning as he turned in the direction Marshal had alerted from. A few steps later and “Do you scent a child?”

His playful game of stamp on the clouds was quickly cut short when the soft crows of a bird could be heard above him. Bright eyes glistened as he recalled eating a couple of birds, afterall his mother could only provide slim picking and scavanged alot. He even remembered having eggs once when she had found a nest and shared one with him watching as it took him a long time to realise how to break it open. The poor pup had been trying to eat it whole. Flopping backward onto his rump he sat staring wide-eyed at the creature. "Food?" He squeaked as if asking the bird to happily obliege.

All the while he had yet to notice the two wolves that were walking straight towards him, within his sights easily but maybe he was not so easy to spot with his silver coat and his black points mostly covered by the blanket of fog. Meanwhile Welde was just happily watching above him.

"Speech!"

Although it was getting easier for him to wander blind, he wondered about his companions and if they could wear anything or carry something that would help guide him along. Perhaps if they carried a stick in their mouth, he too could hold onto it? It was a thought for another time, but he considered it now nonetheless. Besides, he didn't really want to go relying on anyone much more than he already had. There were other blind wolves out there, so he would have to learn to adapt as well. Hopefully it wouldn't take the remainder of his life, however.

Within the scent, he did pick up on that of a younger child, about the age of Sirius' newest brood perhaps. Though it hardly smelled anything like them or anyone from any of the surrounding packs. "I do," He nodded once, testing the air a bit more for fresher signs of the scent. Sirius' bird was an invaluable source, especially now, he was beginning to realize, although unfortunately it hardly helped with his sight any. If anything, they were good for alerting things up ahead, which was likely why Sirius kept them around. "Did you hear that?" He asked, hearing a little voice but unsure if he actually heard it. His ears pricked in the direction of the sound, but without eyes he couldn't make much of it.

The Warlord walked close to his Reaper, giving the wolf the knowledge of his form, and the ability to shadow him despite his lack of sight. He kept them on a mostly-flat course, keeping careful watch for obstacles that might hinder his friend.

The path he had picked for them brought them closer to the being he had scented. Magnus confirmed its existence with his agreement, and Sirius lowered his head to the ground, following the trail of the young boy.

“I believe I did” this time, it was the Warlord in agreement, he picked up his pace, benign careful not to unbalance Magnus. The position of the boy, and his age, was undeniable as they closed in. “Why are you out here alone?” the Warlord mused aloud as he reached the lost boy.
