They had stuck pretty close to home this time, Kefka's scent outside the battlefield as he lurked. Her venture into the battlefield had made him nervous, but he didn't want to pull her out of her freedom especially after letting her have it so loosely. He was in the outskirts in case someone would take advantage or her tiny and disabled form. He wasn't entirely aware of her start in fighting skill and learning to protect herself. He honestly thought she was too young to do so if he had known. She wandered the rocky and bloody meadow, her nose rose from low to high as she smelled other wolves in the distance and the sounds of their battling was new to her. She had her one little spar with Askell but she wasn't really exposed to battling and it would probably be years before she was fully aware of her blindness and how to work through the ailment. She'd come to a pause as she looked at the horizons in front of her. She wasn't necessarily expecting to find a fight here, but she certainly wasn't one to turn down a spar even at her young pup age. "This way, Valdis! This way!" Skadi yelled over her shoulder as she bounded across the battlefield. This was her second trip here. The first had been with her mother to fight a fat catcoon and she'd enjoyed it so much she'd been begging to go back ever since. And today was THE day! Auntie Valdis had taken pity on her and now Skadi's day was complete. She'd get a few spars in and then could go to bed happy. After bragging to her siblings, of course.

Right away Skadi zeroed in on a pup about her size. She veered off course to run to her before anyone else could snatch her potential sparring partner away. "Hey you! Yeah, you!" Skadi slid to a halt before the girl in a spray of loose leaf litter and bone shards. In her excitement she bounced once before forcing herself to be calm and presentable. This was serious business and she needed to act like a lady. A proper viking lady. "Wanna fight?" The strangeness of a lone pup occurred to Skadi then and she recoiled while looking the other girl up and down. "You're not looking for a home, are you? 'Cause I'm just here to fight."

Another young pup would shout from behind her and she would instantly turn to watch her prance over a bit too excitedly and it had reminded her of the last opponent she faced. Relm was a lot more sass than eagerness when it came to puppy ways and it must have had some influence from her more harsh father or perhaps that it was his first time fathering or how she glorified him. Relm would spot the adult woman lingering behind but wouldn't worry in the slightest. "No, I have a home. But I don' mind a fight." Relm looked her up and down as she had, Relm was only slightly bigger but not by much considering they were both so young. If they were adults, Relm would have surely been able to throw her across the field like a rag doll, not to their knowledge today. She'd square up her defenses as best she knew how, Skadi's skills were unknown to her but any seasoned fighter would have spotted her flaws in experience. She took a few seconds to spread her paws, looking down at the ground as she did. And with her tail straightening out, she would go to lunge forward and aim with an open jaw to take hold of Skadi's left shoulder at the top of her blade around her scruff. She wanted to keep Skadi in her vision with her left eye, realizing how difficult it was to sense what was happening on her blind side when her and Askell sparred. Skadi threw herself forward with her fiercest battle cry. When it came to fighting all of Skadi's lessons seemed to go out the window. It was just too much fun to bite and claw in a frenzy. So, when Relm leaped at her and attempted to bite her shoulder, instead of offering a good defense Skadi just did what she did best. She sought to leap up onto Relm and use her chest and foreleg as a ladder for her claws. Her end goal was to reach down Relm's back and bite her just above the waist.

Her leap misplaced Relm's bite. Instead of landing above her shoulder blade, it landed on Skadi's back just above her left hip in what would normally be a very ticklish area, which made it all the more difficult for the pup to focus. It was a hard pinch and no blood was drawn, but in Skadi's mind she was down a point already. The fight had just started and already she was bitten! Time to knuckle down and get a few licks in herself...

Relm wasn't prepared for a completely off course maneuver but none the less still found a grasp on the young girl either way. It would have been especially stupid to withdraw just because she didn't hit her goal. And also lucky for her, her little puppy teeth wouldn't break through to the little tyke's spicy blood underneath. That would have certainly drew her back by surprise. The girl's cat claws hurt more than the bite, especially on the tighter skin at her foreleg compared to her chest. Relm easily let out a snarl as she chomped down on her spine at her hips. Kefka surely wouldn't be pleased when he found out, if he wasn't already on the way over here. With a strong jaw as clamped as her little puppy muscles could, she'd pull her bite off of Skadi's hip not necessarily on purpose to put more than necessary harm to her hip. Though considering no blood had been drawn, it was more than likely her teeth would just gently slip over the skin if anything. She'd then go to aim a bite at her back left leg, her head turning to try and wrap her teeth around the front bone below her hip. In the seconds that followed after getting bitten Skadi made up for the 'points' she felt she was behind. In her mind, anyway. Every little bit of contact counted in her book. And she got a bite in! That definitely had to count for something. She growled into Relm's fur and sought to twist and shake the loose skin she had a hold of. Though her teeth were sharp the muscle behind them wasn't strong enough to push them to any real harm. A solid, bruising pinch and maybe some broken skin was all Relm had to be afraid of.

She yelped as Relm stretched out the skin by her hip and let it go with a snap. That hurt! Her opponent's counter attacks didn't end there. Skadi felt another sharp pinch as Relm grabbed hold of her shin. Out of instinct she tried to pull the limb away, but in doing so nearly lost her balance. Her tail windmilled for a second as she struggled to stay aloft. Finally her balance was restored, albeit shakily. If Relm was smart she'd give that leg a yank.
