Bite it!
Predator Fight
The tiger had approached the boy from behind, drawn by the scent of blood from the boar that Chi was consuming. The crunch of big paws in the sand had alerted Chimera to the presence of the beast and he had turned to meet it head on. The ferocity of the boy threw the cat off a bit and it hesitated. Jaws wide, Chimera snapped and snarled, his thick pelt bristling. The moonlight above reflected off of his black and white form, a spotlight just for them. Together the pair circled, both growling at the other. When the cat was close to the partially eaten boar, it rushed the corpse. Chimera was on the cat, leaping towards its back end. Teeth bit into the flesh of its spine and hip. He wouldn't have his kill stolen. That wasn't the kind of wolf Chimera was. It didn't matter that he was already full and was going to leave the rest to rot. It was the principle of the thing. "Speech" |

Raijin himself was out on a hunting trip, finding something to satiate his appetite before he turned in for the night. His journey had led him to Weeping Woods just east of Ashen. The area was quite beautiful, cloaked in willow trees that swayed idly with the chilling breeze and streams that weaved in and out of the roots. Surely there would be plenty of prey in the area, though not likely anything large.
A pair of deep growls alerted him to a scuffle nearby, one of them distinctly wolfish, and he was quick to head to the scene. Once there, he came across the black and white boy he’d met on his first day and a pretty pissed tiger. The man’s brows rose when he saw that the kid was trying to fight the beast off himself, his golden gaze blinking incredulously. Sure, Chimera was pretty big, but Tigers were no laughing matter. Raijin himself had seen wolves ripped to shreds by their razer sharp claws. He couldn’t simply let him fend them off alone.
With that, the diplomat’s auds laid back protectively on his skull and his lips pulled up into a snarl. Luckily Chimera had gone for the rear away from the much more agile and dangerous front, but that didn’t mean that the tiger couldn’t round on him. So, he deemed to keep it distracted. Jumping into the fray, Raijin let out a deep, resounding bark, swiping his claws at the predator’s face and snapping at it, his saber teeth glinting viciously in the moonlight. The tiger hissed and growled, flipping this way and that to try and throw Chimera off while also keep Raijin from scratching it to ribbons.

A second wolf entered the fray. Chimera could barely spare a glance as he rode the bucking tiger, but as soon as he was thrown off into one of the plethora of streams, he managed to get a good look. The man that his sister had allowed into the paw was attacking the cat face first. Not very smart. The least that he could do for the man was pull the cats attention away again. Shaking the water from his pelt, Chimera moved forward again. Teeth sank in midway up the tigers tail and the boy thrashed his head back and forth. The cat squealed. An interesting sound, Chi thought. The force of the cat spinning back around snapped its tail clean off in Chimera's mouth. The young wolfs brows lifted in amusement before he was once again dancing out of the way of the swiping claws. The attention was now on him. He spat the half tail onto the ground and lowered his neck between his shoulders, snarling loudly at the feline. "Speech" |

To say Raijin was shocked when Chimera pulled the half the tail off the tiger was an understatement. The sound that the predator made was even more interesting, and the saber toothed man couldn’t help the grin that reached his lips. This was getting fun, but he had to remind himself that it was still incredibly dangerous. One knick from those knife-like claws could cut straight down to the bone.
Chimera had pulled the attention of the striped cat away from him and the pain from it’s wound was clearly making it not as sharp as it had been previously. Seeing a chance, he lunged forward and bit into the back ankle of their foe, his jaws clamping down and with a jerk of his head and a loud ‘pop’, he’d successfully dislocated the joint leaving it lame. He released and jumped back as the predator shrieked, wheeling on him. It’s claws grazed his cheek, leaving a decent set of cuts, but he’d had worse. Raijin barked and growled, trying to keep its attention on him so Chimera could make his next move.

The pair seemed to be working well together. With the cat's tail snapped off, Raijin dove for one hind leg. From where he stood, Chimera heard the pop as the joint dislocated. Again the feline screamed, this time spinning and striking out at the older wolf. The strike hit and Raijin came away with blood on his face. Too slow. Since the cat was distracted, the black and white boy lunged, sinking his teeth into the hip of the tiger. With that last wound, the cat had had enough. Though it only had three working legs, it began to ran away as fast as it could. No reason to stop now though. Chi put on the speed and began to chase it from the woods. "Speech" |

Raijin watched as Chimera lunged to sink his teeth into the hip of the animal. The cat seemed to judge its chances of making it out of the brawl weren’t doing so well, so in a moment of intelligence it turned and broke into a hobbled run attempting to escape them. Realistically they could have just let it be after that. It was too wounded to put up a real fight, but still too strong to be killed and it certainly wouldn’t be coming back around to try and reclaim the kill it had been trying to take from Chimera. But, the yearling seemed to have other ideas in mind and gave chase, seeming content to chase it as far as he could. The man huffed, breaking into a run to follow and make sure the younger man didn’t get himself into more trouble.
