It wasn't that Relm did or didn't like the colder weather that came around Boreas this year. This was only her first winter since her birth so she really had nothing else to really compare it to. She had to admit, the weather changes from Boreas' eastern lands to it's northern lands wasn't a great feeling. But she grew used to it as the days went on.

Kefka brought her for a trip down to Auster because of the coldening weather change. He had already discussed with her that it was colder this year around, and so he planned a trip with her for a couple weeks to come down here and explore. He said that he was born down here, but he didn't have much else to say other than that considering Agria had taken him away from The Empire and Auster when he was very young, maybe even younger than Relm. She didn't know all these details of course, but she found her questions about the continent unanswered as she came about them.

They had ventured many of lands around the continent, but they only had so much time here. Kefka didn't want his services from Lurid to go off for long. Perhaps they should have come in the later months of winter rather than the beginning. Either way, she enjoyed the new adventure and wouldn't complain about the travel or the time frame they were visiting. It would be hard to get used to the plummeting temperatures of north Boreas when they returned though.

There were many lands here that set Auster as a whole different world than Boreas. Amron's Castle just over the land bridge was something unreal to her. The towering walls and statues, the man-made stone surfaces under her paws that weren't like the stone of the mountain she lived on. Kefka went through the passage ways with her as they explored the castle together. They didn't go around the whole perimeter or all the corridors and rooms, but she was sure if they ever came back, she would want to scavenge for treasure considering they came across various oddities that just weren't salvageable to take and wear or make into something. At least not at this time, maybe if she could find a bag or something to lug such treasures together.

She also liked Fossil Ridge, all the different bones of creatures that once lived there. Most of these lands could have easily scared a young wolf, or at least if someone put them under the impression that something bad would happen to them, even if it wasn't realistic like being possessed by ghosts or left with a curse on them the rest of their life. But Relm went into a lot of of mysteries and situations with more bravery than was expected of her. Maybe it was Kefka's silly attitude, or maybe it was the hidden hardships she experienced that she wasn't aware were necessarily bad for her. She was mostly oblivious to danger though, and it could potentially lead her into a bad situation at some point.

Her and Kefka made some temporary dens or slept under the stars really. It was quite the vacation if she had to say so herself. The Grapevine Cathedral reminded her of their den back at home. Though padded by grass and vines. It was very confined and dark and gave her that kind of cozy feel to help her get through the night with the changes in scenery. Wraith's Woods she had to admit were spooky, especially to get through the night. But she believed Kefka would protect her if anything bad would happen. Sure she wasn't big enough herself to protect him, but that certainly wouldn't stop her from trying. If anything, getting through the night in a haunted woods boosted her bravery more. Not so much her ego to say she was brave, but if nothing happened to her inside the woods, it had to be a fairy tale so anyone that said some crazy story or myth had to be a liar. And they also stayed at Wildberry Grove. And she wasn't one to find the pretty things the best things, she wasn't a girly girl for sure. But she had to say this was one of her favorite places to live if they ever ended up staying down here. The golden trees and the numerous berry bushes, it definitely gave it a nice homey feel that was different than their cold cave back at home. Though she couldn't imagine Kefka's pelts being useful in a dug-in den compared to their cave den.

Kefka still let her adventure on her own here and there while he hunted or prepared a den for the night. Not that she was happy to be away from him. He gave her too much freedom and at this age in her life she was starting to feel like she needed him more. She needed him emotionally though, not like to protect her. She came to the caves in interest as she did all the other lands here in Auster. She went forward into the tunnels without hesitation as any brave, young wolf would. Her nose stuck to the ground as she ventured in, wondering what she could find inside.

She felt like she was getting turned around inside though it wouldn't worry her. She was sure she wouldn't have an issue finding her way out. At least, she thought she wouldn't die inside the caverns. She turned corners and went up and down dips not really finding anything of interest inside. She would get distracted though by a flash of pink she saw turn a corner forward from her. Her ears perked with a crooked chin, "Daddy?" She questioned playfully, thinking he could have followed her in to play a game of hide and seek or tag. She'd trail after the pink flash, twisting around in the caverns and spotting it clip around corners every so often. She giggled as she chased after it, ready to pounce when she was close enough to catch what she thought was her father.

Moments inside the maze cavern she felt herself growing closer and closer to her companion, and just when she figured she was close enough to pounce around a turn, she went for it. Only when her chin was up to the stone surface of the floor, she wasn't looking at the light legs of her father, but instead at dark splotches on the knees in front of her. She was a little alarmed that it wasn't Kefka who she was chasing, but she wouldn't be scared until her gaze moved up to look at the familiar face of a woman. Her body leaped backwards with a worried surprise but in the movement and jolt of her body, the woman disappeared. Relm looked around where she was in the cavern, somewhere around the center where a lot of tunnels came together. There was a little horror as her eyes bounced around the walls and ceilings for the woman she could no longer see, "Ag-ria?" She questioned in search, it was hard for her to truly remember the name of the woman Kefka called her mother.

She waited a few moments before carefully moving forward through one of the passages. Her mind was still looking around the walls of the cavern as she moved on. Now all she wanted to do was find her way out of the caves and move on from the mystery. Agria couldn't have been here could she? She saw and remembered Kefka killing her. If she was alive somehow, maybe she would have come after Relm to take her away from Kefka as she had done to him. Not that Relm or Kefka would have allowed it. It was time for her to put the ghost sighting behind her once she found her way out of the caves. She wouldn't tell Kefka to worry him. If Agria was really here, she was gone. Relm tried to look forward to any of the other lands they would explore on the way back home.
