She was on her own today, which was all good and well because she was kind of tired of her dad's corny jokes. The pair had been together since returning to Boreas over a year ago, but life had been pretty uneventful. She spent a lot of time with her dad, learning about the Ancora lineage, but by the time they had decided to go back to the pack that her dad had been in previously, it was too late. Her grandmother had died several days before they got there, and she hadn't gotten the chance to meet her. Her father of course, was devastated. From her understanding, Avalon had been the oldest wolf to live and she had been through a lot in her life. She had been eager to meet the matriarch of the family, but...it seemed she wouldn't get that chance.
She wasn't sure how to feel about it though. She never personally knew her, but it made her sad that her dad was so sad. He had grown distant lately which was unusual for him. And it seemed whatever she did just wasn't enough to pull him from his grief, so she decided to leave him be for a time and went off on her own. It was...strange being by herself. Most of the time she followed after her dad because she had been wary about being on her own, but now that she was doing it, it didn't seem so bad.
She reached the river and she felt like she was looking at it for the first time, though she was sure she'd been here before. Maybe it was because she was here by herself and not with her dad and his two jaguars. She stood on the river bank, realizing for the first time just how big and vast this river was...

The deep river was already starting to give Sparrow some flashbacks to the rapids in Abaven. Theory could say no one ever died there all she wanted but Sparrow wasn't buying it one bit. She hadn't been here long, but had already ruled it out as a place to live with the pirates. It was too... rivery. Lots of fish, but fish were kind of a hassle to eat and really, while there were a LOT of fish, it wouldn't make for good partying land. Like... where would they put the alcohol? Could fish be made into alcohol? Never mind, Sparrow didn't even want to think about that.
Sparrow avoided getting in the water, skirting the banks as well as she could. The winter chill was way too much for her. Looking over, however, there was another wolf who seemed to ponder the same vastness of the waters. "Hey, uh, I wouldn't go playin' in the water if I was you, unless you got somebody to warm you up after, anyways."

Sparrow has a female Harlequin Macaw named Pongolo and a male Capuchin monkey named Friar, and a hairless mushroom tuxedo cat named Beef Sandwich. She also has cat claws... and some weird leg spike things.

Head turned at the sound of a voice, though it didn't belong to her father or his jaguars, obviously. Dual-toned eyes found chocolate swirled girl about the same age as her. "Well, I wasn't planning on it..." She replied. The only other warm bodies she had to return to were that of her dad and his companions, but with the depressed mood he'd been in lately, she didn't really have a mind to return immediately after this venture. She hadn't really met anyone else since coming here. She hadn't gone with her dad to visit her grandmother's grave after her death because...well...she didn't know them and she sort of felt like she would've been intruding on a private family moment. Granted, she was family too, but she was still sort of like an outsider when she didn't know them. "Who're you? Do you live around here?" She questioned, curiously.
