The night was young, the night was though cold as the snow-coated the soil where a dark creature walked through. Izanami, the shinobi was just beginning her duties. She worked best under the mantle of night, under the star's watch. Besides her already obsidian coat, she was trained to have the night as an ally instead of an impediment. She could act better and be certainly more active in this time of the day, more than in the day's light.

Steps were silent, almost invisible and her scent was often hidden by the smell of smoke or anything so no one would detect her. Tonight she walked along the borders, wanting to give them a check while the rest were asleep. When others slept her day just started.

Since their birth, the Klein children had been raised to treat the night as day and the day as night, mimicking their mother’s schedule. Therefore, when the world was asleep, it was time to play. The girl trotted through the area, having come down from their den in the mountain to the Nook. She passed by skeletal trees and empty shrubs, all of them dead as a doornail until spring. She wondered what spring would be like. After all, she’d been born in winter and had never known anything other than its cold. Her mother had told them bits and pieces about the seasons and what happened, but it would be completely different to experience it.

As she went, the dark form of a wolf could be seen trekking across the bright white snow. She paused, head tilting curiously before running after the form. She recalled seeing them at the meeting, the wolf with the weird giant red mark on their forehead like a target. Abaddon, curled around her shoulders as always, buried himself further into her thick neck fur to escape the cold air. The girl let out a high-pitched bark to announce her presence, the golden markings that twisted artfully through her pelt shimmering under the moonlight. Surely at a glance, she’d know who she was. She was the Seraphim’s daughter, after all.
