Sticky sludge sucked at wide, black toed paws. Chimera was disgusted with this place. It stunk to high hell. The snow hasn't frozen the muck at all. It had simply made it cold muck. Fucking disgusting. The young wolf's normally pristine white, black and slate pelt was splattered with brown and green. He was over it. The swamp wasn't over him though.

A low bellow reached the brutes ears followed by a loud hiss. Chi turned his head just in time to see a thick, scaled shape rocket towards him. Planting his paws, Chimera sprung upwards much like a cat might. He almost landed on the damn alligator but managed to avoid touching it. Unfortunately, the scaled bastard now had his path blocked. He could either turn around and go back or he could teach this stupid lizard a lesson. Being Chimera, he chose the role of teacher. Teeth bit into the gators tail, slicing through the rough scutes thanks to his new chompers. The reptile hissed and began to spin, pulling Chi along with it.

Hikaru felt the restlessness of his paws as his inner workings began to swim. Since he arrived at the Armada he felt at home, like he’d finally found where he belonged. Easily Hikari had attributed the fact to how well he integrated into the pack but as time went on he realized it was not the pack, but underneath Mort’s wing was where he belonged.

Everything was hard to focus on as his pale white paws were sucked into the mucky swamp as he continued into unknown territory. Commotion caught his attention and Hikaru struggled to find some high ground to see what was going on. He managed and when his silvery gaze fell on the dual toned form he felt recognition.

Without hesitation Hikaru jumped into the fray, Chimera was already at it’s tail so without thinking much Hikaru aimed to dance in front of the creatures face, to one distract and also keep from falling prey himself.

The scaled reptile hissed and tried to pull its tail away from the biting teeth of the dire wolf. The action pulled Chimera across the ground despite trying to dig his claws in. These things were one giant ball of muscle. As he fought to keep hold of the tail, a white and orange blur caught the corner of the young wolf's vision. He turned his head just enough to see... a fish wolf. Of everyone that could come to his aid, it had to be a fish wolf. They were coming out of the woodwork in Ashen and frankly, Chimera was tired of seeing them. This one, however, had come to his aid before. Maybe he was a little different than the others. Releasing his hold of the tail, Chimera leaped onto the creatures back while Hikaru had its attention. What could he possibly do? They didn't exactly need to kill it, it just needed to get the hell out of the way. So Chi sank his teeth into the gators knee. Cause enough pain and it was sure to sink back into the water, right? "Chimera Quill Klein"

The young koi was well aware of the alliance between Ashen and the Armada. So even when he vaguely recognized the man, he knew even more he was a part of the Empire. The massive gator really was just a hunk of muscle and however much Hikaru was failing at striking, he did have the beast’s full attention as Chimera leapt to its back. When the Klein man managed to pierce the monster’s pelt all of Hikaru’s dancing couldn’t keep its attention.

That worked in his favor as the beat struck behind him towards Chimera. Hika hoped the big man moved out of the way but it gave the smaller koi a chance to dart in and try to take his own chunk out of the opposite elbow.

The bite to the alligators knee didn't make it very happy. It thrashed again, all of its attention taken away from Hikaru and it bucked as best as it could in an attempt to try and get the wolf off of its back. When the other man bit into the distracted beast, it seemed that the reptile had had enough. It hadn't planned on being attacked in turn. It had simply wanted an easy meal. Too bad, so sad. Again Chimera bit into the gators knee as the creature hissed and snapped its jaws. Chi was still firmly standing on its broad back but jumped off once he realized that the beast was pulling itself towards the murky water of the swamp. That would surely be a death sentence to fall into the dinosaurs domain, so Chi made it a point to stay dry. "Chimera Quill Klein"

The monster thrashed and Hikaru was impressed that as it threw its teeth around neither wolf managed to get caught in its jaws. After Chimera’s bit the gator looked to the massive man, and when Hikaru scored it the creature turned on him. Hikaru managed to barely escape certain death as jaws snapped in his face before the creature turned back to the water. The pair of them might have been able to end it, butu not when it was on its way into the water. Chimera had much the same idea and as he backed off, so did Hika. Silver eyes watched as the beast slipped into the water and disappeared. A deadly combination to be sure.
