Viper wasn't entirely sure what was expected of her while she was given the task of mentoring a couple of the young ones. She was never taught, so she wasn't exactly sure how to teach. Though things wouldn't seem like they came naturally to her, she was still able to figure out what she had to do survive. Perhaps giving her different perspectives of how to do tasks compared to other wolves.

She came to where the pup's would be, the two were after all siblings so finding them together early in the morning wouldn't prove to be difficult. After she gathered them, she would lead them to the shrine before sitting to regroup. The pups were actually growing to be at least her size if not close to it, not that she would care to notice. Viper never saw her size difference making her less superior to others. Perhaps a lesson for another time, not that she would even know how to respond to questions relating to how she may have been at least equal to those around her.

"So uh- There's these weird turtle things that look like they are the only things we can hunt so we are going to go do that." Eye contact was scare from her, and overall she would be easy to make fun of if either one of the kids had that kind of mindset. Or they could have easily thought she wasn't cut out for the job of training them. Though if any snide remarks were made, Viper would show little emotion even while acknowledging it internally, and she would start to head north to pass the borders of Ashen. She wasn't taking them far, but it hadn't crossed her mind that they may or may not have had permission to cross the borders. Would Hattori entrust the kid's safety with her?

She glanced back to make sure they were still following behind her, "Come on, it's better to find prey at water because they need water like us." It was self explanatory and probably common sense, but she was only speaking what came to mind while this task of mentoring was something she did accept after all. "Since it's been cold, a lot of deer and stuff haven't been around. Other wolves have over hunted them." While the winter had been harsh, spring didn't seem to bring it to an end. Ice had covered everything, and there wasn't much to salvage.

When they arrived, the water source had dwindled to almost nothing, only a trail of ice where a limited flow went in it's place. Viper approached the frozen stream, looking down with little thought other than what they were supposed to do now. After a few seconds lost in her gaze into her faded reflection in the ice, she looked up and around at their surroundings. Across the non-existent stream off in the tree line she saw a huge odd looking furry creature moving between the trunks and branches. It blended in well with the bark but with her keen eye she was able to spot the slow movement of it searching the branches.

Turning to the two young wolves, she would begin with a strategy, whether they spotted the creature or not. "Okay, it looks big enough where it might be slow but it might surprise us too. I usually try to trip my prey so I can get over top of them quickly." Being not well with logical explanations, Viper would probably leave the pups confused and not know exactly what their plan would be, "Okay, lets go." She would turn too quickly for either of them to stop and ask questions, but she went directly into the direction of the sloth-creature, slow in a trot at first before getting closer to it and heading off into a sprint. While it was the goal to kill the strange creature and bring the prize back to Ashen, there was probably more chance of failure for the small group of them. Young wolves that needed training with a teacher who was bad at teaching. But that was okay too, Viper wouldn't scold or blame them if they failed.
