"Bah, curse this godforsaken cold and everythin' te do with it! I've had enough snow and ice to last me a lifetime! Honestly, I could go the rest of me life withou' it!" He grumbled as he walked up the hill. Everything was covered in snow, and he couldn't tell where the hell he was really going, let alone where exactly he was since everything. Looked. The same. "We should've taken shelter in a forest or a cave or something, don't you think? But instead, you chose to continue traveling!" Knut growled, the Norwegian cat walking alongside him. "Of course I thought abou' that! Bu' by the time we waited out the snow, it'd be next year it seems like! I'm no' sittin' around an entire season waitin' fer the snow to go away an' there's been no sign of it meltin'. Instead, there's been a whole lot of those gigantic beasts roamin' around and a lot of us tryin' te avoid them! I cannot fight them on me own and yer like a snack fer them." Technically, they both were. But he wasn't about to admit that. They had both seen the Bifrost completely frozen over. He knew that was unusual considering that spit of land had never frozen before. Then again, in his couple of years being alive, the world had never been this frozen before. He was thankful for his thick shaggy fur, but he was definitely over this whole thing.

He stopped where he was at the top of the hill, the dead branch of what he assumed belonged to a fallen tree buried beneath the snow sticking out next to him. Looking up towards the sky, he noted how bleak and cloudy it was. Then again, it had been like that for weeks. "Looks like a blizzard migh' be comin' in...it seems you were right, Knut...again..." He sighed and grumbled. Of course, the cat was right. He had more sense than the dwarf, but Gimli would never admit it. But what shelter would they find out here? He supposed they'd have to continue in one direction until they found shelter. There was no sense going around in circles trying to find shelter on these seemingly barren hills. Well, he supposed they ought to get a move on. Standing up, he carefully made his way down the hill in silence with Knut at his side.

Although Gimli was short and stocky, he was having a hard time keeping his footing as he tried to make his way down the hill. The neverending snow and ice had iced over parts of the lands, and unluckily for him, he was on one such slick trail. He used his bear claw gloves to dig into the ice like ice picks to keep him from rolling head over heels down the hill, though at this pace now, his travel was hindered a lot more thanks to the treacherous conditions the season had given them...
