Could I play Oracle?
05-25-2014, 01:07 PM
Do you mean using her, or any wolf?
05-26-2014, 03:54 PM
yeah she is a gargie baby which is why i am trying to find her a good player, cause whilst i wouldn't hesitate to kill off one of my regular characters, gargoyles line has suffered enough death.
as for the requirements not many, you have to submit a roleplay sample using her, doesn't have to be long just enough to give me an idea of how you would play her. then if you get her she has to remain active. if the player is new the player is new, if they can roleplay well they have an equal chance with anyone else.
i should point out if i come back and find her inactive i will not be happy and will work on taking her back from that player.

Hello my name is Fawn and I adore Oracle so I'm going to give this a shot ^^
Roleplay Sample: Careful pawsteps carried the massive female across the ground. For something so large, she moved surprisingly daintily, every step cautious. Her brown paws were only a few shades lighter than the dead leaves that crunched softly beneath her weight - all in all, this female's careful movements were surprisingly delicate. Everything about her seemed self-possessed, and carefully contained. And yet, she still seemed on edge, ears twitching nervously every few steps. The occasional noise in the still air made her jump a little, but still she soldiered on, despite being clearly out of her comfort zone.
You see, what Oracle came to this area for was something that she had to see through. She might feel a little anxious about what her siblings would say after she'd been gone, but that didn't matter when it came down to it. For them, she would do anything, and for them, she had returned. The world outside Alacritia had been strange and wonderous, but it was not her home, and Oracle couldn't imagine a life without her siblings. She had been gone for only a short while, chasing rumors of her parents, but now Oracle was back, baby!
There was a sound - a crunch of twig snapping beneath her paws (maybe a killer?), and Oracle jumped almost a foot in the air. "Who's there?" She called, voice strong despite the nervousness flickering in her golden eyes.
Silence greeted her for a moment, and then a tiny pup came tumbling out of the underbrush, tripping over his own paws. "Can you help meh?" The brown youngster questioned, voice clear and high pitched. "Ahm lost." He clarified after a moment, tilting his head all the way back to gaze up at Oracle.
Oracle breathed an almost imperceptible sigh of relief - It was only a pup, she admonished herself, leaning down to examine the creature. "Where are you from, little one?" Oracle asked gently, and though she found herself feeling nervous at the thought of facing wolves that weren't her family, there was no question of Oracle leaving a lost pup alone.
The pup yipped happily, "Mah momma's name ish Laila." He explained hastily, words tripping over themselves as they exited his maw. Oracle frowned a little at the name - it didn't exactly narrow down where the pup came from, but ah well. Nothing more to do. Maybe they could follow his scent trail back?
And so she started walking, casting a longing glance over her shoulder back at the direction that she'd been originally heading. Ah well. Galahad and Odette would have to wait. She would be back once she'd gotten this pup back to its family, and that was a promise, Oracle thought with a firm nod.
Notes: Okay, so I checked and her companion was a snowy owl named Bubo - is there any way I could change the name? It's totally fine if I can't, but I wanted to check.

can you tell me where i am Oracle had heard about the plague making wolves bleed from their eyes, and more than anything, she was worried sick about Bubo and her siblings. The black and brown girl's golden gaze searched the snow carefully, a whimper escaping her jaws as she looked for the gray, black and brown markings of Odette or the black and white pelt of Galahad, but not seeing anything. Galahad, he was her closest friend, even if he was her brother, and she needed to find him, she needed to comfort him and let him know that she was okay. Snarling, although faint, reached Oracle's ears, and her eyes widened as she wondered if one was her brother; brown paws carried the girl through the snow easily, her pink tongue hanging out of her mouth and her breath coming out in mist. When she got close enough to the two fighting wolves, Oracle stopped dead still, her golden eyes full of disappointment at not seeing the wolf she had wanted to see, needed to see. But at the same time, Oracle was pleased that her brother wasn't fighting another wolf, even though part of her knew that was not his nature. She was pleased until she saw what was in the middle of the two fighting wolves. A dead elk, and just from looking at it, the creature died a horrible death. Deep puncture marks in the elk's throat must have not killed the creature, so the wolves must have gone crazy and just have torn the poor thing to shreds. It was obvious to tell that the wolves had not had enough to eat, because their ribs were showing, and the slobber that shouldn't be dripping from their mouths was, when they looked at the elk. Finally, the smaller wolf, a white wolf with deep blue eyes, was pinned down, the the other wolf, a black wolf with red eyes, was about to lunge at the wolf's throat. Not wanting to see a wolf die, Oracle raced and jumped in the way, wincing as the wolf managed to wrap it's jaws around her leg, but she stood there, blood dripping from her leg. The black wolf whimpered as it finally noticed how large she was, then let go of her leg and limped away, it's tail between its leg, while the white wolf tried to drag the elk in the opposite direction Luckily, the creature with the elk in it's mouth couldn't go very far as fast as it probably wanted to go, so Oracle, looking at the black wolf, gently set her paw on the elk's body. The white wolf growled, but Oracle lowered her head ans sunk her teeth into half of the elk, and shook her head with the wolf, struggling to tear it off. Finally, with a splatter of blood, the body of the elk was in half, and the white wolf looked shocked. Oracle ignored it, and turned to the black wolf with the half of the elk in her jaws. Brown paws carried Oracle to the wolf until she stood over it, listening to the fearful growls deep in its throat, before dropping the half of the elk at its paws, staring into its red eyes. Finally, she turned away, with a wag of her tail, until a soft voice, no doubt coming from the black wolf, found it's way to her black and brown ears. "T-Thank you." Oracle smiled, her golden eyes wide, and the black wolf walked over to her, the half elk in her jaws, its fur wet with the wolf's slobber, but its red eyes seemed full of gratitude, and it wagged its tail before listening to Oracle mutter to herself. Sudden;y, something in it's eyes lit up, and it sat down, motioning for Oracle to do the same. Oracle sat down, her black and brown tail covering her paws, before the black wolf dropped the elk and sat down. "I met a wolf named Galahad, who said he was looking for a wolf named Oracle. Something about his eyes were weird, they were bright green. Anyway, just then I heard you talking about a wolf named Galahad. Wolf, do you think that's the same one? Are you the Oracle he was looking for?" She asked, and Oracle stood up, her golden eyes gleaming as the black wolf finished speaking. "Yes! It's that Galahad, and he's my brother! I'm Oracle, and thank you very much. Ummmmm......Do you know where he went?" She asked, and the black wolf nodded. "Yeah. He went West. Saying he was just gonna go that way, looking for you." Oracle wagged her tail at the black wolf, then ran in the direction that Galahad had went in, her brown paws carrying her as fast as she could go, as she hoped to find her brother soon. The white wolf with blue eyes was walking along, the elk still in its jaws, and it stopped and wagged its tail a little as Oracle passed, but she didn't stop. She couldn't stop, not when she could have the possibility of seeing her brother again; she imagined how happy he would be to see her, and that made her continue running, her golden eyes full of happiness. That was all she could do anymore, run, and hunt, and look for her brother, hopefully finding him along the way. Finally, her energy ran out, and Oracle was forced to walk, her paws dragging the snow before her energy ran out again, forcing her to collapse in the snow, hoping that she would find her brother soon. Those thoughts lulled her to sleep, and she closed her golden eyes. |

Oracle is a little over a year old now, same age as Odette. So she is no longer a pup. Just pointing that out ;3
