Álarr could not have asked for a more beautiful day. It had rained a few nights before but today the morning was clear and cool and the birds were happily singing away as if it were spring. The sun shown down through the trees that lined the gulley. He had set up the main gathering area in a large clearing just on the edge of Fern Gulley and the Algoma Prairie. Originally he'd planned to set up in the Prairie but as they would be holding a hunting competition he decided it would be better to keep the main gathering area out of the way. The plants were less likely to run away.

With the help of Dagrún and Úlfr he laid out a number of furs around a large campfire that Valdís had started. Nearby was a vessel of mulled wine and several small pots of tea. Upon a partially leveled log he'd laid out a spread of smoked salmon, bison jerky, deer sausage, pheasant, and pheasant eggs for those that wanted breakfast before starting or snacks for later.

Once everything was set Álarr howled for the participants to gather so the festival could officially begin.

Lyric felt nervous, felt anxious as he still didnt know why he signed up to this event, one for healers. But the idea of wanting to test his healing skills pushed him to represent Abaven in Fireside's festival. He was paired with Emile, the yearling he met in Ashen's festival. So it kind of worked as a relief to have a familiar face as his teammate and as he walked into the place, he looked at the food and the items there. He though didn't have appetite due to the nervousness that inhabited in his chest. And there he closed his eyes, aiming to calm down. Lola his lemur was climbed into his back.

Word travelled quickly through the grapevine, and even faster on vines burdened with lichen. Banking the coals in the fire pit outside the den, the lichen dappled yearling slipped his mask up and onto his face. The short, branching antlers and long fangs of the muntjac skull worked in his favour when he needed to mingle with strangers. Over the course of the early morning hours he had packed and repacked a small bag with a few snacks and supplies for the trip, and potentially to share with others at the festival. It was strange to be venturing so far from the mangrove to meet other wolves and celebrate the harvest season, but he was excited nonetheless. "Bog should stay home. Or Bog take Bug to meet strangers." the goliath frog had hopped lazily towards him with a warning, which was met with a soft sigh. "I don't want you to dry out, Bug. Who knows what kind of area they'll be holding the festival in, and I don't want to put you in danger, ya silly critter." the muddy healer explained gently, nudging the frog with the side of his forepaw. When he heard the sonorous call of a much larger wolf ring out, an open invitation to the guests, the nub of his tail twitched excitedly. As he hefted his burlap bag over his shoulder, a warning call erupted from the frog. Attention successfully reclaimed, the swamp dwelled stared down at his companion. "Bog stay safe, or Bug very mad." the frog warned, and received a soft bump of a wet nose against his snout. "I promise, I'll see you soon!" the wolf replied as he took off at a steady lope towards the inland gathering site.

It took a good bit of travelling to reach the place where he was supposed to be meeting everyone, but he smelled the bonfire and cooking meat well before he saw anyone. As he cleared a small hill, he noticed there were already a few wolves assembled. By the Great Tree, they were all enormous. A burst of panic erupted in his chest and settled in his stomach, but he pushed forward regardless. He'd been invited, hadn't he? There was no way they would be a danger, not if they had put out such a nice spread for everyone. Good thing he hadn't eaten all his snacks, cause now he could share them with everyone! When word had reached him of the opportunity, he'd been informed it was being organized by an exceedingly large male with curving horns sprouting from between his ears. It wasn't hard to find that male, who he approached with his neck craned in the interest of trying to establish eye contact and grab his attention as he got closer. This man could pick him up like an infant and carry him off, and suddenly the moss dappled yearling wondered what he ought to expect from the other guests. "' Scuse me, you're Álarr, right? I have some slow roasted catfish left over that I wouldn't mind sharing, if you're alright with that." he drawled, verdant gaze cutting to the assembly of meats laid out. He was all but salivating over the strange scents that he wasn't fully familiar with. Red meat wasn't uncommon in his diet, by any means, but he was better equipped to hunt his own prey in smaller sizes. a quick shift of the weight on his shoulder let the bag tumble loosely onto the grass, and he waited for an affirmative from the large male.

When the news of a festival spread throughout the Armada, Magnus knew he couldn't sit around and wait for everyone to get back. He had something to prove, if not to everyone else, but to himself as well. He wouldn't, couldn't, be useless for the rest of his life for a injury he doesn't even remember happening. If he could walk on three legs, he could run. So why shouldn't he be able to hunt? No one could change his mind, no healer, not Sirius, nobody. Magnus was intent on getting to the festival, and was surprised to be one of the first that made it. He had gotten up early after all, maybe others weren't as determined as him.

A few others had gathered before him but that didn't matter. As he moved towards the gathering, with each companion dog on either side for support in case he stumbled, Magnus found a spot to sit and allowed his companions to relax by him as well. He may need them, he may not, but he didn't want to dismiss them to their own activities if he would.

"Speech!"

Training in the Armada with the other students was proving to be a bit harder than he imagined, but paying off in the end. Already he was settling into the routine of training and the other things expected from him. He didn't seem to be forming any relations with the other students, but that was fine. Besides Artorias, anyway. Aside from the training spars, Grimshaw was more than happy to stay away from Artorias and the rest of the pups he called his siblings. Honestly, he wouldn't be lying if he said that he left the Hallows to get away from them with Resin gone. It didn't matter and it was good to have rivals anyway, even if they were more or less your family.

Though when he arrived, few others were there before him. A few he didn't recognize, and then the three legged man he often saw wandering around the Armada. Grimshaw wasn't sure what was up with him, but opted to give the man space and found a seat off to the side, but still well within the gathering and waited for the others.

"Speech!"

Being back home was great, but she couldn't stay there forever. Once she's heard of a festival, Bella was excited and ready to go. She hadn't even listened long enough to catch the details before running to get ready and leave. Even if there wasn't an event she'd want to participate in, she was excited to get out and socialize after being trapped for so long. Rekindling with old family and friends in Ashen was great, but Bella was excited to meet someone new.

It wasn't a long trip from Ashen to the festival and she even got there seemingly early. A few others had gathered before her and were already finding themselves a place to sit and wait for the others to arrive. Bella had no idea who all would be participating, but wondered if it was anyone she knew. She left too quickly to know if anyone from Ashen had also left, and since she pretty much ran here it would likely be a moment or two until someone else arrived. As she looked around, she finally settled on a place near the back and sat, too excited to let her wagging tail rest.

Persephone hadn't been in this land long, but had been intrigued when she'd heard others mention a festival. She'd never been to something, but heard about them often. Wondering what would come of it, she was quick to decide to attend and maybe find a new friend or two. If she were lucky, maybe she'd also find a new place to call home. She wasn't doing too well on her own having never really needed to care for herself in such ways before, but she wouldn't just accept any offer of a new home. Perhaps it wouldn't be the best situation for her and she needed to be careful. She couldn't deny that she was excited though, for whatever activities this festival would have.

As she approached, she saw that many others had arrived before her and wondered how many more would be coming. She saw a few young wolves, but mostly those that arrived were also adults and seemed to look nice enough. Since she didn't know anyone, she found herself a seat off to the side, more by herself but still amongst the collection of wolves. As she looked around at them, she studied their faces while she waited for the festival to really begin.

Duchess wasn't very talkative, but she had become social among the pack wolves of The Hallows and now just wandering with the band. She had never really known how much she needed others in her life, even if she felt that loneliness that Draco had left her with. So it was easier for her to approach others in search of potential traders and allies for Indigo's band.

When she heard the gathering call, she followed simply for the good of the band. She figured she could at least get the name and their ambition out there to others. It could have been dangerous, at least by herself but she had been oblivious to the thought.

She joined the gathering of wolves around, not recognizing any but that didn't make her nervous. She didn't approach anyone specifically, but quickly looked over the meals that had been placed out before heading into the center of the festivities, taking a seat along some of the furs that had been laid out for the bonfire.

The invitation for the festival had instantly peaked Balthier's interest, he felt it was important for his family and his pack to show for their strength physically and their strength as a pack. Hunting was going to be hosted by the participants and that was what Allegro's kids had excelled in after him. So in Balthier's mind they were here for Abaven but they were here for themselves. It was about time he and his siblings had branched out more anyway.

With Solo and Psalm, they headed out towards the call. Balthier was natural in the setting of strangers and others, immediately walking forward through the crowd and nodding in greeting to the ones that he passed or caught attention. He took a seat settled away from the fire but near center of the festivities. He then looked back to his siblings to see if they were still after him or wandering around other places of the set up.

It was a rare occurrence that the Abraxas boy ventured from the safety of his shrine, and rarer yet that he did so in the light of day. The cover of darkness and shadow was a security blanket, but he had been told that meeting strangers was critical to spreading the word of God and forging potential alliances. So, this was a small step towards his eventual goal of being able to freely wander and spread the gospel as his mother wanted. Mismatched paws drew him easily over the plains as he heard the initial summons of the festival organizer. By the time he arrived in the low valley that served as a central meeting site, there were already a fair number of other wolves gathered here. He noticed a few blessed individuals, a promising sight indeed. Slender limbs pulled his form further down the slope, and closer to where the small group had assembled. There were cooked meats arranged on a felled tree, and the young wraith slipped through the gathered wolves to draw closer. He wasn't certain he had seen such a spread of food, and it intrigued him. This was a rather appealing way of pulling together a group such as this, all able to settle into an easy rhythm of small talk on the basis of enjoying the meal. He filed it away for potential future use.

Two toned gaze lifted, searching for the pallid form of the large male who appeared to have had a hand in organizing this. Tapered muzzle dipped politely in thanks before he stooped to collect a link of sausage that bore a familiar scent. Sure enough, the taste flooding his tongue was venison. Padding a short distance away, he opted to work his way through the snack while he waited for word on when they would be starting. Reclining upon his haunches, the godling observed the goings on with veiled interest.

SOLO DESTRUCTION-LOIRE

THERE IS VERY LITTLE LEFT OF ME AND IT'S NEVER COMING BACK

He moved at a steady pace alongside his siblings, hoping that the opportunity to leave the borders of Abaven might prove beneficial to the lot of them. Ever since the news of Allegro's abandonment had dropped, there had been a heavy cloud hanging over their heads. Stagnating in their den, the overwhelming sense of emptiness had begun to drain any will and energy from the small family. They all travelled in relative silence, but the burly yearling still felt lighter than he had in a while yet. Once they arrived, Balthier seemed to settle into a rhythm of familiarizing himself with everyone gathered. The pale hunter was less inclined to try and make friends, if only just in the interest of wanting somewhere to sit before he tried to be social. As soon as his brother settled, mercury gaze found itself shifting across the assembled wolves while he settled onto his rump at Balt's side. Shoulders brushing against the dark fur of his sibling, he grunted in acknowledgement when he noticed his brother had been checking to make sure he and Psalm were still close behind.

His own attention followed the cerulean eyes of his brother, searching for the familiar form of his sister making its way through the crowd. There were already a fair number gathered, and he wanted to be sure his small sister wouldn't be lost among the press of bodies. It was very important to take care of small wolves, lest they be lost entirely while travelling in crowded places.

Jane was excited, she was eager to come to her very first festival. Or one that she did alone, and also felt unsure as she wasn't used to going Boreas after being gone for quite some time. Jane entered with her usual happy attitude, smiling and calm in her expression. So many new faces, new wolves to meet, but also someone she had seen some time ago. Balthier, the pup that visited the Hallows before. Smiling she approached him and spoke. "Balthier! Hi! How have you been?" She asked with her tail wagging behind her, like crazy. From there she was ready to start her little contest, to test where she was at in terms of hunting skills.

Shuriken quietly followed her older cousin, she wasn’t quiet and she wasn’t stealth but somehow he didn’t notice her after him all the way to the festival. Tanto her akita was on her tail, he didn’t often wander very far from her these days. They’d been through a bit of training together and now they were just learning as they went. The dog was already very familiar with helping his princess when she fell along with her other day to day clumsiness.

The tall girl slipped into the gathering, or more accurately tripped into the festival. She didn’t recognize anyone but her cousin, and she definitely didn’t want to look like she had followed him here. Her attention was immediately on the food, not a normal characteristic. She was usually poised around strangers especially but sneaking her way out here put her off her game. Tanto nudged her shoulder with his own, jolting her back to her manners.

Ike shook herself lightly then lifted her head. Even as a pup she was already towering over many of the attendees and challenging the height of the tallest wolves there. She was all leg and no grace either. Still she walked with what poise she could for how giant her paws were as she presented herself quietly to the host. With a small curtsey before she assessed the food once more.

Mæva was running late. She'd slept in after the long journey to Fern Gulley and had only woken up after her companions had wondered why she hadn't arrived. It was a beautiful fall day that made her even more excited to hunt and she scrambled to the gathering place where a fire was already lit and a stretch of foods were laid out. A good number of wolves were already gathered and she gazed at them curiously before scooting closer to where the smoked salmon laid. Mmmm it smelled so good. Hopefully they'd get the meeting part over with quickly so she could grab a snack and get to hunting.
