The stone floor of the cave was cool to the touch. It was soothing against the bruises and helped to block out just a little bit of the pain. She knew she needed to get up, to find her way back to her bedding. It was just too hard to move. She ached in every muscle of her body, and the memory of their teeth. If she slept here on the stone floor, her bruised muscles would be too stiff to move in the morning. She would fail at her duties, and more punishments would find their way to her.
But it was too hard. The memory of their hot, panting breaths in her ear sent pain through her skull. She closed her eyes. Her last Masters had been cruel, but they had given her respites. These Marauders were hungry for her flesh, and she had quickly become a favourite amongst them. She let her head fall down to the stone once more, knowing she was alone for the moment. Silence around her. She closed her eyes, and let the tears start to fall.

The cerulean marked servant was taking her duties seriously, and come nightfall when one head remained unaccounted for a wave of shock ran across her spine. There was still some time to go before all were expected to be in bed, but there was little reason Citala could think of that one of their servants wouldn't had already found their way back. Absinthe had instructed her to maintain order among the captives and servants, and if one had escaped.. well, she didn't want to think about what that would mean for her.
She hurried out from the servant's caverns, keeping her pace unhurried yet with purpose. Hopefully should she move past an awake marauder, they'd expect she was merely on an errand and not doing something foolish. Beyond everything else she had at least earned a shred of trust, having been beyond obedient since the day of the kingdom's takeover. "Idalia!" Citala hissed the whispered name into the nooks and cranny's as she swept past. She was just beginning to wonder if she should go get Absinthe before the faint sound of weeping reached her.
"Lia," Citala's lips pulled downward in a faint frown as she stepped up alongside the fire marked servant. "Lia, this isn't the place. You're just going to get in more trouble." She didn't know what this particular slave had endured - Citala didn't know many of them by more then names and faces - but whatever it was, being caught crying in the dark would not be something that would give her any sympathy with the marauders. Perhaps she was overly cold, though after long enough beneath a master it became hard to attach yourself to another slave. They always felt so.. temporary. "Come now, lets get you to bed before someone sees you." She whispered.

She wasn’t sure how long she lay there before the sound of another wolf reached her. The soft voice of the other slave reached her as the other woman whispered fierce instructions in her ear. Ashamed at having been caught in a moment of weakness, Lia stifled her sobbing. It took a moment to cram the emotions back into place, to let that glazing of indifference fall over her. To blink away the pain…
Once it did, she wiped her eyes and dragged herself back to her paws. “Citala, I’m sorry I distrubed you” she whispered back once she was on four paws. She still felt stiff and sore, but she could drag herself back to the den. She had no choice, she had to. She was glad for the other slaves' interference. She knew what would have awaited her if she had been found there by other masters. “Can you help me get back to bed?” She whispered, feeling her worn paws trembling under her.
