Come down, come down sweet reverence
Jynn trotted around the border of the Redbud Nook and the pack that lived within. She was headed back to the eastern part of Boreas to do some more exploring. The day was warm and wonderful. The sky was a beautiful gradient from royal down to pale blue. A number of large, fluffy white clouds made their way through the sky beneath the noon sun. The ground was covered in green plant life, from grasses to small shrubs, and some with lovely little purple flowers. Patches of bare earth showed here and there but the real sight was the redbud trees that were in full bloom. They were covered in gorgeous pink blossoms. Jynn slowed and took in the scent of the blossoms. It was a really lovely place.

Álarr needed a break. He'd been working himself to the bone stocking up his herb storage, preparing for the fall butchering and holding the Fall Festival. He had headed to the Ibis Islands for a bit of a get away and now he decided to do some traveling. He'd sent his companions to give out the fall festival invites but it occurred to him he hadn't really seen much of the other packs territories. He didn't really feel like paying a social call but he figured it would be fine to just see what kinds of territories others had chose to reside in. Did they opt for plains like Fireside did or did they find ways to thrive in other kinds of environments. He was working his way around a pack that resided at the base of the volcano when he spied a familiar form. Álarr cleared his throat.

Jynn wondered at how strange it was to see the trees blossoming in the fall. Was there some confusion perhaps? The spring had been so brutally cold, as had the summer. It was only now in fall that things had warmed up a little. Did the trees now think it was spring? They would learn otherwise, she had no doubt. Their brief warm spell would likely devolve into decreasing temperatures in a matter of weeks. She jumped as someone approached but it was from behind her, not from the pack land. She turned to see the horned man she'd met on the islands in the east. "Oh, hey there. Still out on your vacation?"

Álarr nodded in response to Jynn's question. "Yes, thought I'd do some casual touring around Boreas and maybe into Auster." It was nice to walk around and take in the sights without also trying to hunt for herbs at the same time. Usually he was so focused on the minute he didn't really take the time to take in the full picture of the landscape around him. "And you? Still out exploring?" In some ways he envied her life, just out exploring and going wherever she pleased and in others he thought she must live a hard life. The pack was security, it was food and shelter and company if he desired it. However, it seemed everyone had been so busy lately that there wasn't much time for socializing.

Jynn perked up a bit as Álarr stated that he was doing some exploring in Boreas and that he might even head down to Auster. It was always more fun to travel with someone. He asked if she was still out exploring. Anyone that knew her well already knew the answer to that question. Jynn grinned and nodded. "Yep, I'm headed out east, you're welcome to join me if you like." She planned to head east then south, then west and then back into Auster. If she could time things well she'd get a good view of Boreas before winter hit and she could spend the winter in Auster where it would be summer. She continued her way, following the border toward the mountain.

Álarr took a deep breath of the warm autumn air. There was barely a breeze but the air felt clean and refreshing. As he'd expected the strange woman was indeed out exploring still, stating that she was heading out east. Álarr grinned and nodded. "I was headed out east myself, I'd be happy to join you." She kept along the packs border and started heading north toward the volcano. His brow furrowed but he assumed the adventurer knew a good way around. Personally he had no desire to get anywhere close to that volcano, even if it was unlikely to erupt again so soon. Still, he didn't want to get left behind or go back on his word so he headed right after her.
