The Ooze ParticipantThe Ooze - Variation 3
08-10-2021, 04:30 PM

Though she was part of The Hallows, the pack that her mother had started, Eska had learned that her mother had actually been a member of another pack beforehand. It was interesting for the brindled woman to learn. Her Aunt Balaa had told her that her mother would never allow another to rule her. Naturally, Eska had to see what caliber of wolf could hold her mother's allegiance.

Mostly healed from the grievous wounds in her neck, the trek to the plains had been long and slow. The silver and obsidian woman couldn't stand being trapped inside the castle any longer, however. With Avaset and Baz as her escorts, Ulric had agreed to give her a bit of freedom. The pair of dogs would assure that Eska wouldn't be taken advantage of again. Malinois on one side; Groenendael on the other, the woman made her way to the border.

Midnight ears tipped back as Eska lifted her bluish grey nose. A low howl pulled from her, beckoning the alpha of this pack known as the Armada. Once she'd released her call, the woman took a step back and seated herself in the tall grass. The dogs settled themselves in the grass a pace behind. Together, the trio waited.

Shock rippled through him at the younger, darker coated Resin at his border. He had heard her call and responded in a timely manner, heading over with a trot to see what had brought a stranger to his borders. He had seen the hint of her coat, but hadn’t gotten a full dosage until he stopped before her. Seeing the yellow eyes in a similarly marked face. She was a ghost, and his heart flipped at the reminder of the pain.

“Greetings,” he said, finding his voice again. “What brings you to the Armada borders? Who are you?” Who are you to Resin?

There it was. That familiar shock on the faces of others as they saw her. This toothy man was no different. As he approached and questioned her, the silver brindled fae rose to her paws, standing before him. "Eska Datura Timber." Dark ears flicked forward as she continued. "You knew my mother, I'm told." She shouldn't have to say who her mother was. The resemblance was there.

"I never knew her. I arrived too late." He would know what she was talking about. "I'm told that she was a part of this pack for a time. I came to see what you might be able to tell me about her." More stories. All Eska had was stories.

Seeing this Resin-like stranger before him reminded him of what he had lost. He had found a mother-like figure in that old wolf, and then he had lost her. He had watched insanity eat away at her, and watched her die. He would never forgive himself for not finding a way to bring her back to them.

Eska Datura Timber the daughter of the wolf he loved and lost. The wolf he called mother. His shock shifted through different emotions as the towering Warlord watched her. “Resin was an inspiring Warrior who protected those around her without hesitation. She was a wolf I considered family, with ties stronger than blood. That makes you family, Eska.” he said, pulling himself out of his shock and speaking with certainty. “Come then, and see the den she lived in here while I tell you about her”
