Onyx had been venturing out of pack lands on her own lately, maybe she was coming of that age. She already thought she could take on the big and bad, things she certainly wasn't ready for. But really that wasn't her goal to come out here and scout for something to hurt or kill. Really, the pack had been getting boring. That red alpha guy hadn't been around again lately, at least not that Onyx saw. He could have been sick, or maybe he had some sort of camp out of the pack lands. She would never know, and really she didn't care. The only thing she really admired about the red kids was their interest in a fight. Her siblings and them were about the same age, so they were prime opponents for her to take on. Though, she would definitely take on an adult if given the opportunity. Her parents raised her more polite than that, surprisingly. She thought she was more capable than she was, but she wouldn't have fought an adult unless she was defending herself.

She had come out to The Wall south of the pack, she had been by a couple times. She was testing the waters with how often she could sneak out of home, and this seemed like a good and safe place to do so. She carefully ventured up a crumbled part of the wall so she could trail along top of it. She had never done that before so it was new to her, but it didn't seem that way as she was quickly pacing along the beam, up and down, watching her steps but not thinking twice about where she was putting them.

Cináed skulked out toward the border of the pack. Yet another day passing by without any word from his father. He refused to go looking for him himself. After seeing that he had gone out of the pack and taken two of his siblings with him and left him and the rest of his siblings behind Ciná really didn't feel the need to try. If his father was going to abandon him then he'd return the favor. If his father suddenly decided he was worth paying attention to again he might change his tune, but he wasn't just going to grovel at his father's feet for any scrap of attention he might get from him. He huffed with a frown creasing his expression at the thought. Was that why some of his siblings were more favored than him? Because they threw themselves in front of him and begged for his attention? Pathetic. He was the only one actually putting an effort into his training, seeking out fights... If that wasn't enough to earn his favor then maybe he didn't want it.

Without really realizing it, he had crossed past the scent marked order along the pine forest and when his golden gaze lifted from the ground in front of him he saw that he was approaching the crumbling stone wall that he had spotted from the border a few times. He hadn't bothered to come out to actually investigate it, but there was clearly nothing worth doing or paying attention to within the pack so he kept going, completely disregarding any directive he had originally been given to stay within the pack. It wasn't the first time he had snuck out by any means, but in his current state of mind it felt particularly pointed disregard of the rules.

As he got closer he spotted the now familiar form of Onyx moving along the top of the wall, pacing back and forth over the wall that was crumbling and broken in places. He smirked slightly at the sight, drawing toward his frequent sparring partner curiously. "Is this some new training regime?" he questioned with a chuckle as he got close enough to be heard easily, following the wall and walking along beside it next to her.

A familiar voice came to her, but honestly even if it wasn't one she knew she wouldn't have been very alarmed. She felt capable for herself, but she also knew if she really did find herself in danger that her parents would be nearby to help her.

She wasn't really upset about meeting the red kid out here, but she would have liked to have someone else to fight. She supposed at least getting the practice with someone was better than having no one. She wanted diversity, but she would take anything.

He asked if she was training, and she had already stopped dead in her tracks when his voice came out. Instantly after he asked, she plopped down on the slim top of the crumbling wall her body leaning almost off the edge where she caught herself with a quick wide eye and regained her balance as she perched up on the wall. Her paws hanging over the edge, she looked down at him, "Nah, honestly just got tired of looking at the pines everyday." She didn't know if he felt the same, but she felt like everyone should have. She couldn't believe that anyone could just settle somewhere for the rest of their life.

He scoffed a little and plopped down onto his haunches when Onyx told him she was just tired of seeing the same pine trees every day. "You can say that again," he agreed with a sigh, glancing out over the boring, plain tundra around them. The spaced out pine trees were just a short distance behind them over the pack border, the wall acting as a barrier between the pack and the rest of Boreas to the south. Not that it was much of a barrier considering how weak and crumbling it was, but it still wrapped around their pack's border all the same. Even the wall wasn't really all that interesting, but in comparison to seeing the same exact trees over and over it was still slightly more interesting.

"It's not like my dad's even around to tell me not to go anywhere," he grumbled, kicking a small rock that was near his paw and watching it bounce away. "I might as well just leave... It's not like he'd notice." He just left out of the blue like it was nothing so why couldn't he? He didn't really know where he'd go though even if he did leave which might be the only reason he hadn't ventured out farther than the places just past the border. Maybe he'd go back down to Ashen some time and try to find that pretty girl with the long tail again... She had been fun to tease at least.

She couldn't be sure how everyone else felt, she wasn't a mind reader. But she was just a little happy when Cinaed had agreed to getting tired of the pines. She was maybe even a little scared to share that feeling with anyone else, well, because she spent most of her time with her family and she didn't want to let them down. So even though it may not have seemed much like it, she was opening up to Cina if only a little, and content with feeling mutual.

Her maybe not so happy face became more noticeable as her expression went downward as he spoke. The more time she spent with the red kids, she couldn't deny maybe how bad she felt for them. She had her entire family, where it seemed like the red kids were drifting apart from even each other. Maybe it was the fault of their father, she could never know. And she wouldn't truly understand how Cina felt, because her own parents and siblings were so close to each other.

"I won't blame you." It wasn't encouraging him, but she was at least letting him know she understood where the feeling came from. "But won't lie, I'd miss beating you up when I got the chance." She did offer a sarcastic smile as she went along the wall. At least if he felt like he didn't belong because of his father, she hoped she could make him feel like he belonged her because of her, or maybe even one of her other siblings. Maybe one of his, she didn't know.
