Another day had come and, with it, another chance to hone his skills to be the best he could be for his family. Sirius had been busy for the few days prior, so much of the prince’s training had been solo, but that day the Warlord had been gracious enough to open up some of his busy schedule to spar with him. Thus, he’d arrived bright eyed and bushy tailed to get started. He waited by the sparring ring for his training master, his companions also waiting at his flank, just as eager to start as their own master.

"Thoughts/expression intention"

The Warlord arrived to find Take sitting proud and tall by the ting, his companions in tow. Sirius came a stop before the young boy, and lowered his head close to that of the horned wolf. “Good morning, Apprentice.” He said, before slipping past the other wolf and into the ring. “First, start your warm up stretches, and today we will try a more serious spar and see how you do.” He warned/promised the boy.

Hiding a grin, Sirius took his post opposite Take, and began his own stretches, limbering his body. He had already began to warm it with his early patrols, but it never helped to drive home the importance of warming up the body before exercise.

"Speech"

His master came and the boy allowed a grin to slip onto his features, a friendly wag tipping his white ticked tail to and fro. Sirius greeted him and he offered a deep bow in a greeting of his own, as did his companions. After all, he was his teacher and he deserved the utmost respect. The man instructed him to begin his stretches and the red-scaled boy rose from his seated position to promptly begin without question. In his many months of training, he’d come to learn that the Warlord was particular when it came to starting and ending their sessions, but he also knew that the man knew what he was doing to the utmost sense of the word. He was a master in many fields and the boy looked to him with awe and inspiration.

"Thoughts/expression intention"

The respectful young boy had a good set of ears on him. Perhaps he had learned to, to make up for his muted vocals. Certainly the Warlord had never had any trouble with this wolf. He listened well, and gave his best.

Once the two of them had warmed up, the Warlord let his posture fall into the familiar defensive pose that began a match. “Alright, Takeshi, take me down.” He told the other wolf, beckoning him forward with a paw. Lets see what he had learned in their training sessions so far. Sirius dug his claws into the sand, and set his gaze upon the younger wolf.

"Speech"

After several minutes, Sirius donned his defensive stance, letting the boy know that it was time to begin. He rose from his downward dog and got into his own, head low and legs spread apart to keep him steady. He’d already progressed a lot from the young pup he had been, who had no idea how to hold himself and could easily be pushed over by one swipe of the Warlord’s mighty paws. Now, he was nearing the same size as the man in height and was almost the same as him in weight. But, seeing as Sirius was still larger than him, he’d need to be strategic.

Takeshi lunged forward, running straight at the man before, at the last second, veering slightly off before winding back in, head lowering in an attempt to ram the Warlord with his horns and knock the wind out of him. Hopefully the feign would work.

"Takeshi Ani Oritsu Abraxas"

The Warlord watched as Take fell into his stance. His eyes were critical as he looked over his young apprentice, before he gave a short nod of approval. He found no fault in the boy's stance, and the way he moved to keep his vital points secure.

Almost before he knew it, the horned wolf was running at the Warlord. His little paws quick on the sand as he dashed at the Armada leader. Veering last second to the side and brushing past the Warlord. Seer growled, snapping his jaws at the fleeting form, twisting as the smaller wolf came back around. Not fast enough as the horns him him hard, but quick enough that he had a shot to reach out his paws. Attempting to grab the boy with his giant hands before he could dash away again.

"Sirius Fatalis"

Takeshi felt the impact radiate from his skull, down his neck and to the ends of his tail. He knew he’d be sore the next day, but if he could come out victorious he would have no qualms about it. When the boy went to slide out of reach and prepare for his next attack, he suddenly felt the pin prick of the man’s cat claws in his thick scruff. He jolted, his momentum stunted as he was pulled back toward his opponent. In that moment Takeshi turned, feeling pieces of his fur being torn out at the scruff as he worked against the hold on him. His jaws opened, reaching out to snatch onto Sirius’ arm around the elbow and yank, trying to dislodge the hold.
