The days passed and her worry for her parents wasnt decreasing any inch, and her heart was dying, dying to find her mom and dad. But their scent had washed out almost completely from her pack's territory and that forced the pup to adventure herself out, under the desperation. Hoping to track them out. They said they would just hunt and return soon, but soon turned into days of being gone. Quick and erratic were her steps as she sniffed the snow, finding nothing at first but then a ray of hope, a faint but existing scent of both of her parents. With happiness she rushed in her tracks but as the smell of blood reached her nose, her smile dropped and with her heart on her mouth she approached. Looking up, her world froze, her legs turned into stone as she saw two frozen bodies, the bodies of...her parents over a puddle of blood, with a cougar's carcass not too far. Rushing with tears she screamed in both pain and desperation. "MOM , DAD....mom...dad?..." She sniffed them, listened to their chests but nothing, dead silence. She didnt know what to do, her mind went numb. "Help MEEE, HELP MY PARENTS NEED HEP...HELP ME...please...help..." She screamed about to lose her mind. "Speak" |

Raure wasn't exactly bored, but following his sister around wasn't proving to be that exciting. He kept his distance, following her only to watch out for her while she searched. He didn't want her running out on her own, stressed and frantically looking for their parents. He had to admit he was a bit worried too, but as the brother he was, he felt he needed to follow her just in case. She may be bigger than him, by a good amount even, but that didn't stop him.
The snow was cold though and raure was quickly regretting his decision. It wasn't until Aine started moving faster that he began to get worried, rushing after her as soon as he heard her screams. He wasn't far, thankfully. The pain in her voice was indescribable and as he came upon the scene, his parents and the body of a cougar all frozen before his sister, he struggled to keep himself from freezing alongside them.
He'd seen blood before. Carcasses, dead bodies, and more. Never did he think it would be his parents bodies laying dead in the snow that would force him to come to terms with death. Death never seemed so final before. It fed him, so he could keep living. That's all he thought about it. Seeing his parents laying in their own blood only steps away from the creature he assumed to have caused this. At least they were dead too. At least his parents had that.
Raure swallowed hard and closed the distance between him and his larger sister. He came in front of her, dipped his chin and proceeded to press his skull into her chest. Partly because he couldn't look anymore, but also to usher Aine away. He couldn't force her to move anywhere, but he could try. He did his best to hide his tears as they welled into his eyes, begging Aine to turn around, to look away, with simple whines. He couldnt even find the words to speak.
