It was nice being back home with mom. Of course, she wondered where her father was and what had happened to him in the time since the accident, but she didn't press mom on it and wouldn't ask her siblings either. It was fine, she was fine, and there was nothing she needed to worry about. At least she was back home with her mother and siblings instead of being lost out in the world. She had grown so much in the time she had been away, more emotionally than physically, but now it was nice to just relax and be a kid.
While others seemed to be at a loss with the strange fireflies, longer nights, and the blue glow that everything had, Fortune was excited for it. It was just her birthday after all, so these fireflies if anything were a gift from nature in her lavender eyes. She hardly saw how a bug that looked so much like the fireflies they already knew could be of danger to them. Being said, it didn't take the young girl any time at all to wander outside of her home's borders and off in the direction a swarm of the bugs led her. It was a short trip, and before long she found herself surrounded by some large stone pillars that also seemed to glow as the bugs got nearer to them. In awe, Fortune just stopped and looked around the place the bugs had led her. What a sight!

Spark was rarely taken aback but the changes of the last week or so had thrown the small girl off her game, she disliked the way the stars seemed to have drawn lines in the sky and ever the curious spirit the tiny girl decided she was going to pick a soft glowing light and follow it dangit! Which was how she ended up here, it was a sight to be seen. Tall stone monoliths rising up out of the ground before her and the girl blinked a few times, the lights seeming to dance around them mesmerizingly. She was not alone and despite herself, Spark could not help but want to draw comfort from the presence of another wolf, even a barbarian. Her paws tapped out: curious, genuine. But her face and voice remained as unreadable as ever. "Have you ever seen the like?" "Speech" |

While she had followed the lights here, she hadn't expected anyone else to be around. She was surprised to say the least when she heard a voice, startling her and she turned quickly, looking at the dark female with widened lavender eyes. Catching her breath, she took a moment to answer, allowing herself to speak clearly. "No, this is all new to me." She said, taking her eyes off the girl to glance around the large stones and the lights floating around them. She had seen fireflies once before, but this was something unlike them while being so similar. It was interesting and she wasn't sure if she needed to be worried about them, but they seemed harmless so far. The longer nights were strange, and unfortunate, but with the winter she was told to expect longer nights. She wasn't sure she expected them to be this long, though.
As the lights moved around them, giving each tall stone their own glow from different angles as they danced around, Fortune turned to step farther into the center of the area. Once standing in the middle of the circle, pointed stones standing all around her, the lights seemed to multiply. Looking up and around, Fortune smiled before looking back to the girl. "Come look at this!"

Spark blinked as the girl spoke, her silvery gaze following one of the lights, head swiveling as she tracked it with her eyes. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard the girl move away, only looking to her when she beckoned Spark over. Curious she moved, soot paws rising up the hill to stand in the center of the strange stone circle and what she saw did something even rarer than her hidden confusion. Spark laughed, the Ademere did not hide their joy, pure expressions of joy were not shameful, they were not something that could be controlled and so the stoic girl laughed, spinning on her toes to look at each monument in turn. "It is beautiful." She said, her voice only slightly fluctuating from flat and her paws tapping out the emotions that were evident between her words and the rare emotional outburst. "Speech" |

From the center of the circle, surrounded by large monoliths and beautiful blue glowing lights, Fortune really did feel lucky. What a time to be alive, witnessing such a beautiful sight. Sure, it was weird and new, but Fortune didn't have any reason to really think that it was harmful. They were lights and glowing plants. Animals with weird markings shouldn't be weird to anyone, so she wasn't even sure why the glowing blue markings of some of the fauna was a surprise. New things were scary, she knew that... but life was too short to be afraid.
"What do you think they are?" She asked, breaking her stare above to look at the girl as she tapped. She thought nothing of the strange way the girl expressed herself and looked back up to the deep purple sky, brightened by the large moon as a massive swarm of blue light spiraled above them.

Spark had to admit there was something totally magical about the moment, even at the side of an unknown heathen she had never seen anything like this and she seemed unable to pick one thing to look at for longer for a few seconds, she even tipped her head up to see the sky as the lights rose and dotted the streaked heavens. It was strange and beautiful and eerie. A mixture of awe and apprehension settled over the small girl. Spark considered for a moment, her paws signing out: Unsure, curious. "Maybe fireflies?" She squinted at one of the lights as they flitted by. "But I have never seen any of this color, and the cold would usually kill them off this time of year." "Speech" |
