As Hattori crossed the bridge that linked Alias Island to the mainland he was quick to notice the myriad of scents that filled the air. Taking a moment to pause, his gaze roved over the mountainous terrain and the ever greens that granted a little burst of colour to this otherwise desolate land. So this was where Manae and her lot had slunk off too after their failed pack claim. After their loss they'd quietly slipped away, but not yet left the north, if they ever would. He idly wondered how this would affect their alliance with Ashen, though to be perfectly honest he hadn't thought much of the offer to begin with. It was a little vindicating to be proven right all along.

But seeing as they'd made no formal claim on the land he was free to roam and so he would do just that.

"Speech"

She decided to take her time to do some exploring before heading back south for a warmer climate. Having decided to part ways with Valhalla, visiting the coast seemed like a good idea. Making her way to the edge of the mainland, her honey-brown eyes spotted an inviting bridge that led the way to an island. In the distance, she saw a rocky terrain with a small mountain rising from the center. Interested, Audra crossed the bridge at a light trot. Upon touching the edges of the island, a singular scent wafted over to her. It was familiar and caused her head to raise up slightly. Low and behold, the behemoth of a wolf that she had met once before was really there. Nervous at first, Audra hesitated. Should she approach him? Deciding it would be rude to ignore him during her exploration, Audra approached with a gentle smile on her face. "I didn't think I'd see you here, Hattori," she calls out, her tail low by her ankles but wagging softly.

Hattori had only made it a little ways inland before he sensed he was no longer alone. He turned, expecting to see one of Manea's lot no doubt curious to see why he was here but instead was met with the sight of a familiar stranger. Calling her anything else felt inaccurate, even acquaintances was a little too personal for the Shogun's tastes. He'd assumed Audra had wandered off to join Valhalla and yet the scent was fading fast on her fur, like an old jacket she'd shrugged off and left on the floor.

"Audra. You are far from Valhalla." He rumbled in greeting, dipping his head a little.

Glancing at the highest mountain Hattori found himself wondering what the view would be like, how far across the north would he be able to see? But it wasn't worth the effort, not during winter and in these cold conditions. Perhaps another time, when he had the energy to spare.

Audra did not expect him to comment about her departure from Valhalla. His attentiveness to her scent had taken her by surprise. Was the strength of the dwindling scent really that apparent? Her ears flicked back for a moment as her own gaze cast back to the mainland. She would miss Valhalla, but knew she was going on to a better future. Letting a silence lull between them for a moment, she nodded gently. "Indeed, I am. I am no longer tied to them as it be," her voice is quiet, a gentle murmur loud enough only for him to hear. Audra can see his faraway look that drifts to the mountaintops. "It sure is beautiful out here," she offers, a friendly smile still on her features. "I figured that sticking to the first pack that took me wasn't the best option. I enjoy wandering around too much to be tied down," her words are as confident as she could sound for her typically nervous nature.
