Kali had ventured out to the battlefield to get herself further into shape. Now that she’d officially been named Cherubim, the heir to Habari, she knew she needed to keep herself in tip top shape less her siblings try to dethrone her. She was clad in her alligator armor and Abbadon was in his usual perch around her neck, while Abigor trailed along at her feet, his tongue flickering out from his mouth tasting the air. Once they arrived, the girl wasted no time in tipping her head back and calling out for a challenger. She wanted to get this show on the road, she had other things to attend to.

Talking

Grimshaw had every intention of heading to the battlefield today in search of a sparring partner different than who was available in the Armada and the training dummies. With his bracers and knife equipped on his forelegs and his neck and skull armor already on, he was eager to arrive. With his wolverine toddling alongside him, Grimshaw arrived at the battlefield just in time. A challenger was already waiting and just called out as he arrived, a smirk settling on his dark features.

He approached quickly, although stopped a distance away with his wolverine beside him. Clearing his throat, he widened his stance quickly and stared the girl down. She smelled familiar, but not like he knew her. It was strange, but he didn't think about it for now. He smirked then, allowing her the first move. "Ladies first."

"Speech."

It wasn’t long before her final challenger appeared, another massive man cloaked in a sheet of pure charcoal and glimmering, brooding silver eyes. He was roguishly handsome in a simple way, which she liked, and bore the scent of their Armada ally. He smirked and offered her the first move and she allowed a grin of her own. “That’s your first mistake” she replied with a wink, bracing herself as well before dashing forward. She was smaller and faster than him, her dainty feet a blur as she swept along his right side, chocolate fur brushing against his as she went to bite at his right hind leg, not enough to hurt him but perhaps just enough to smart.

Although he had allowed her the first move, Grimshaw wasn't just being polite. There was still a great amount of distance between them, so when she started to run towards him he had plenty of time to watch her feet and guess her intentions. He was right about one thing and he wasn't surprised to feel her sweeping past his right side. His hips buckled moments before she passed, ready to launch once the time was right and as soon as her left shoulder passed his own right, his hind legs pushed out from underneath him and he quickly pivoted around on his forepaws. Having missed the majority of her attack, he did feel her teeth scrape against the flesh of his right ankle. It burned, but was hardly an injury. A reminder to be faster with this girl, if anything.

As his rear shifted into place, positioning him perpendicular to her direction of motion, his jaws reached and snapped for the girls tail in hopes to jerk her backwards.

Her attack, unfortunately, missed by a hare. She felt her teeth scrape against his ankle as he pivoted away and she mentally cursed herself for not being faster from the punch. She’d underestimated his speed with his size, and now she was paying for it. Kali felt his mouth grip her tail, wincing as his teeth sunk into the tender flesh. Immediately, the girl whipped around and curled in on herself, a foreleg outstretched in an attempt to batter the man’s ear fiercely to try and get him to let go. Her tail was too fluffy and pretty to lose a bunch of fur!

When he felt the fur of her tail in her mouth, his teeth clamped down and he was right, it worked. She swung around towards him closing the distance, but in this moment she was faster. Before he could let go of her tail, he felt her sharp teeth close around half of his right ear. He let go of her tail immediately, almost spitting the furry thing from his mouth with desperation as he snarled. With her attached to his head, however, he believed that he might have a change at shoving her into the ground. With is right foreleg, he sought to tangle it around her forepaws and use his shoulder in a shoving motion to trip her using his height and weight to his advantage should she not be willing to let go of his ear quickly enough to retreat from his simple grapple.
