Something had changed. For a long time Canta had laid dormant, she fazed in and out of consciousness, mostly to only really feel the comfort of Mercury and from time to time to visit her sister and nephews but mostly she wasn't really aware. But this time as the spirit that had once been Canta roused to awareness of herself and her surroundings. The first thing she noted was just how bright everything was. Not in terms of sunlight, no she could tell even in the first moments of her mind starting to return to itself that daylight was not the cause, but it was... Snow? The woman had not seen snow in some time. Somnium was fluid and seemed to shift only when a living being willed it to or someone else there really wanted it to but snow was not what she was used to anyways. But beyond that, she couldn't feel the ground under her paws. Even in the land of the dead as she knew it, when she was awake things at least felt real to her. But here... She felt like the ground would swallow her up and she'd slip into the center of the continent.

Canta narrowed her eyes, one empty scarred socket and one forest green. She took a tentative step forward and despite the ground not meeting her paws physically it did seem she was able to move forward as normal. Why was she here? More than that why was no one else? Where had Mercury gone? "Hello?" She called out, voice seeming to at least lift in the air like it was real.

Incendium was no longer, though Bronze and his family still remained in the north. It was their home, after all, regardless of who ruled over them. He didn't know if they'd remain in these exact lands but they had made their homes here, and had no reason to leave - so why bother? Especially with all the strangeness happening in the world... and with his sister Onyx being sick, it made sense to stay where they knew best and make sure she recovered properly before any further decisions were made. He made little effort to stay away from her, either; if he got sick, so be it, but this far he'd been lucky. Well, for now at least. He felt the fur on the back of his neck suddenly bristle as he heard a sound, distracting him from the walk he'd decided to take. Bronze slowed as he moved away from the frozen solid ship, taking a slow but deep breath as the voice registered. It didn't seem familiar, but at the same time... he couldn't help but feel it might be. Surely it wasn't coming from the fog that suddenly rolled in, drifting across the ground, wasn't the source of the sound...? Bronze blinked slowly, watching as it moved in a strangely recognizable pattern, almost like it was walking. "H-hello...?" He called out uncertainly, willing one of his siblings or parents to magically appear.

In all honesty Pyrite was glad that Incendium was gone, she far preferred the frigid north being only her and her family. They had never been truly loyal to Ignis anyway, as her father stated many times. Their family was loyal to the Northern lands. Just as Pyrite was loyal only to her family. To her mom, dad, and especially her siblings. Despite Onyx’s sickness she remained close by, ready to help her sister and unworried about the potential consequences.

Right now she was following after her twin, Bronze was always the one she liked to be around. Despite their size difference that was so much more obvious as they made their way to the yearling mark. She had been secretly following her brother, but when two voices sounded in the mist she was forced to stop. The otherworldly voice froze the usually confident girl.

Onyx was certainly not normal but otherwise she felt pretty okay. She got roughed up a bit by Kuroki though to her own fault. Colliding with the stone pillars in the north eastern lands had definitely opened her eyes to the severity of her situation. Not that she would admit to anyone, but she was definitely being more careful from now on. The crystals against the rock had been the most pain she had felt in her entire life and she chose not to feel anything like that again.

Still, she wasn't going to lay around the den all day. She stayed closer to home since then, but it was easy for her to go stir crazy, sick or not. She found herself just as Pyrite, following sneakily behind Bronze on his walk around the ship. The fog made it hard to see, but she kept eyes on the tracks in front of her. That was, until she heard Bronze call out to someone. She waited only a few seconds before coming forward to join him more, announcing her presence even if silently. They could see each other now. "Who are you talking to?" She looked around completely oblivious to the being moving in closer to them. She was in for a big surprise.
