Plague sat outside the home he had created for him and Void that had eventually grown to house Rava as well, looking up at the star-streaked sky and the large full moon that hung low over them. Earlier that day Rava had agreed to make his dreams become reality and even just letting that thought cross his mind again made a smile pull across his lips. It was getting late and Rava had gone to bed, leaving him alone while he waited for Void to return from Abaven. Normally he might have laid down as well since he typically got up fairly early to get to Ashen for his morning patrols and would just wait for Void to join him in bed, but he couldn't relax until he got to break the good news to his husband... the news that they were going to get to be parents.

His heart fluttered in his chest at the thought from excitement and nerves. He had been so sure for so long that there was nothing that could be done to make them fathers. The idea of finding a slave to be their surrogate had felt like a farfetched idea at best, but he had been willing to try because it was the only plausible idea he had. It essentially felt like it was that or nothing. When he found Rava, saw the conditions the slavers kept her in, and saved her from that he knew he wouldn't be able to go through with that plan. He wouldn't be able to force a wolf to his will like that to do something so important and so personal. He wanted to be a father so badly, but not at the expense of someone else. He fidgeted anxiously while he waited for Void, eager to tell him he news and see his reaction.

"Speech"

Void often spent his days in Abaven while Plague was busy with his duties inside his own pack. The distance that lingered between them was much more obvious now that they had been married. Both men were devoted to the families they had in their separate packs and thus far no solution had been come to. So they continued as they always had. Void said goodbye and goodnight to his kin and returned to the home he shared with his love and the woman who was slowly becoming just as much a staple in his life.

Plague was usually teetering on falling asleep by the time Void returned home, but tonight his pale coated husband was lingering outside, his body illuminated with the bright moon and star light. Void wasn’t sure how but every day they were together he felt himself loving him more. Those emotions were obvious in the way his features lit into a smile when he saw him. They endured so much pain and heartache, it was always a relief to just be with his husband after a long day.

"Hello, my love.” Void greeted softly, approaching Plague and offering his affections first and foremost. A delighted kiss and eager embrace.


"Speech"

The sound of paw steps brought his emerald gaze down till it landed on Void's handsome form and a grin pulled at his lips, his pale tail brushing against the ground behind him. It still always floored him how just being with Void or even just simply seeing and being near him could make him so happy. Tonight in particular he had extra reason to be excited to see his dear husband, but even just in their day to day lives there was no one he would rather spend his time with. Even the way Void looked at him in return was proof enough that he had chosen the right wolf to give his heat to and spend his life with. This was most certainly not the easiest path for them, but every day Void made it feel worth it.

"Hello, darling," he replied just as softly, chuckling quietly as he returned Void's kiss and happily slipped into his embrace, leaning into him and breathing in his familiar scent. "Welcome home." He nuzzled into Void's neck as his forelegs slipped around him, an excited flutter kicking up in his stomach as he tried to decide how to approach the subject. Part of him just wanted to come out and say it, another wanted to ease into it. He ended up landing somewhere in-between. "I have a surprise for you," he mentioned, glancing up at Void and barely able to contain his smile. "Although it's not even really a gift from me... It's from Rava." He watched Void's expression, wondering if maybe his husband would put two and two together.
