Letting others down had become sort of a habit for Bellamy lately.
At the very least it seemed that way…
Bellamy had returned to the North, seeking out the pack that had been usurped from those she cared for only to discover the faintest traces of its existence… She cursed herself, cursed the fact that she had gotten so distracted, and cursed the fact that she had let not only Acere down, but Gavroche as well.
She had spent time trying to find both of them and… yet… nothing.
And so Bellamy took her companions and made her way north again. Though she had nowhere specific to return to, nor anyone waiting for her, it felt like the proper place to go. Her snow leopard cape didn’t overheat her in the cooler temperatures and honestly, it seemed as though Whiskers didn’t mind them either. Ears complained but, well, when didn’t the devil have some complaint to bring up?
Sitting at the base of one of the few trees in the area Bellamy lowered her body to the earth and took in a deep breath of the Northern air. Snow still lingered in this part of Boreas and there was a chill in the air that Bells welcomed.
“Welcome home… I guess…” The woman murmured. She shifted some of the snow before her out of the way to reveal the dead grass beneath it. With a sigh, she shifted her head onto her leg and closed her eyes. She wasn’t sure how long it’d be before Ears and Whiskers came back but, for now, she figured she could take the afternoon to rest. She was about tired of running around like a headless chicken for no reward…
