The sun was setting, something Eraithus was glad to get used to again. Specifically today he had decided to sleep in and wake up when it began to set. Reason being is he had something to tell his alpha. Well specifically it was simply Recluse herself. Eraithus had always tried to be there for her, for the pack. He knew it wasnt until recently that he had actions to show. He sparred with Kali gave Widow and Mac fighting lessons. He tried to be involved in the pack even when he had been sick. Yet it all boiled down... to her.

Eraithus had seen two litters come and go, she was a healthy female with strong genes. That wasnt why he was asking what he would be today. His paws sank into the dirt as he walked nearby her den but not enough to make a racket. Recluse was beautiful, but she was also intelligent, strong, truely a wolf one could respect. Yet he... he wanted something more. The male quietly let out a howl for Recluse. Sitting diligently on the rock as he looked onward, the view of the territory from here was great.

Recluse Ithuriel-Klein Soon enough Recluse was certain she would return to a full nocturnal life style, she'd managed to get the pups down close to sunrise the previous night and for the first time they'd all slept through sunset and she'd had a sound sleep, so maybe it wasn't a surprise that she was awake when the sun was just starting to set below the horizon. She had had to sunbathe at little at a time since the sun had started to return, it had been the balm her weakened body had needed, but her skin was still delicate and her vision still fled her under it's light it had also allowed for the dislodgement of the big crystal on her face. So maybe it wasn't totally surprising to see her out watching the sky darken into dusk, the children were still snoozing but she knew she only had a bit of time before the peace would be chattered by their enegetic cries. The sound of claws on stone told her of another's approach, she could make out a lupine form but the light still made her vision blurry and inconsistent, but his scent was enough for the woman to know who approached her. A smile tugged at cherry lips and she turned her head towards him. "Eraithus." She said simply, there was a fondness to her tone. "Speech"

He couldnt count the amount of times her form took him by surprise. He did not care for the giant wolves and muscles that sported. Recluse just as the spider she was named after was a true warrior. Even during her sickness he did not see her weak. Eraithus had tried his best to prove his worth, though he knew there was such a thing as trying too hard. Carefully he stood not far from her watching her smile as she said his name. Eraithus smiled in turn the tip of his tail twicthing as he sat. "I was hoping to catch you at this hour, Recluse." he didnt let nerves over come him. He eased his worries as her presence made him comfortable. There was no need to fear rejection.

"Howve you been feeling?" he knew hed asked that a lot, but the darkness had taken a toll on them all. Eraithus was glad he hadnt gotten a second wave of sickness. Then he listened to the announcement of their first spy. Hed trained and even had the honor of sparring against Kali. Yet most of all he had fallen in love with Habari jist as much as he had Recluse. Every wolf, every value. Most of all his fondness for her. His blue eyes gleamed looking at the albino wolf.

Recluse Ithuriel-Klein If she was being honest, Recluse wasn't sure she had any particular attractions... Well except for that one time she'd laid eyes on the massive one-eyed woman but she certainly felt attraction even if she otherwise didn't seem to have a type and instead simply let herself appreciate others from an aesthetic standpoint and let her hormones drive her when that time of year came around again, but she was fond of Eraithus in a way she'd never felt for anyone else. He was handsome yes but she cared about him in a deeper way, actively wanted to be around him in a way that wasn't simply accepting her baser urges. But she was a woman in power and she would not be tied down, if he had anything he wanted from her outside of the potential of her attention on her next heat season he would have to have the balls to mention it himself. Recluse after all was fiercely independent even in as she reveled in motherhood and finally building her own place and surrounding herself with those she actually chose to be around. The wounds of her parent's abandonment ran deep. "Stronger every day." She said, glancing over her shoulder for a moment and chuckling. "It helps they've started actually sleeping through the day and not wanting to go exploring 24 hours of the day." She swung her head back towards him, though the slow darkening of the sky would mean her vision would return soon enough she was still trusting he would not take advantage of her lessened state. "Did you come here just to ask after my health though?" "Speech"

Eraithus heart beat against his chest. He had no intentions of tying such a wolf down. He was born and raised with multiple mothers and fathers whome were all happily married. Thoar values he still instilled, not to mention that he valued independance over claiming.  He was happy to hear things were easier, her litter was strong just like the last. That was what he enjoyed and she was quick to catch on. He chuckled before answering.

"No, youd be correct to ask. I didnt just seeek you out to ask about your health." Eraithus fluffed his chest up, bkue fur glowing as the moon began to settle into the sky. "I want you to marry me, Recluse." he smiled. "I do not care who romances you or who else you marry. Those you approve of I approve of." he wanted to make that clear. "I love you Recluse and i see myself being a part of your life until my death." gently if she would allow he wanted to press his nose into her cheek.

Recluse Ithuriel-Klein Recluse watched Eraithus carefully, she was curious to see what exactly he had in mind, she was fond of the man. She took a moment to appreciate his posture as he spoke, the way the light of the moon played off his pelt. His words though surprised her and the woman's brows lifted in her astonishment. She tipped her head to the side slightly and listened, a small but unsure smile on her lips. "Can you truly be happy helping to raise another man's children?" She asked, her chest was fluttering as she spoke. If he could, if he could live with her plans and desires to have more litters, knowing they would not be his by blood then she... Well it was a life she wasn't certain she'd ever imagined for herself. Someone who had chosen her, who felt so strongly about her that he was willing to get married. "If you can..." Her voice was soft then, and the woman shifted slightly, reaching for him, for the first time since she'd been a child abandoned by her parents she wanted something simple... Comfort. "Speech"

Eraithus watched her, as he always had been. He didnt know if she had cared but he considered it fate that she became the alpha of a pack hed sought help from. His siblings were long gone and the dreams of their family would be too. Hed been overjoyed with Recluse litters, he remembered his breath being taken away. Beauty was in life, not from what one was born from. His smile was gentle as was his voice. "I was raised with two fathers and two mothers all who were happily married." he stopped. "I love your children as much as if theyd been my own blood. Seeing Kali grow, Macabre and Widow rising from their den brings me joy." he wanted to give her a clear answer. "I can truly be happy, as long as you are happy Recluse." he nodded his head.

As she reached for him her soft words, he leaned in. He didnt know of her past but if it was one thing he could do it was be there for her. Eraithus wanted to curl his head around her shoulder. Wanting her to feel his heartbeat against her own. "Ill always be by your side Recluse. It doesnt matter what choices you make in lifem I love you... for being you." he spoke gently. A tone he didnt think he used for anyone else. Recluse had been the center of his life for a year. He continued to see her and the pack grow. Making him want to be a better wolf and if he could at least offer a bit of himself to her then hed do that.

Recluse Ithuriel-Klein Something inside her, something Recluse had long since pushed down reared it's head, small and weak and yet drawn out by the affection. Her desire to feel loved had mostly been fed by her children but the desire to feel validated by someone else, to not have to fight for a place with others... The wounds she had long since learned to ignore after she'd been abandoned by her parents not once, not even twice but three times ached for a second but she felt it dull again as she felt the man reach out to her and hold her. Comfort, the gentle care of another, when had she last felt that? When she'd been but a child surely. Recluse shifted closer to him, letting herself sink into his frame, her face pushed into his fur and she breathed him in, let his scent wrap around her, mingle with hers. "Yes." She said softly, doing everything in her power to keep her emotions from overwhelming her. "Speech"

How long had he hoped for this. Her touch amd acceptance. Eraithus had never thought in his life hed be tangled up in such a thing. However his anxiety and unsure feelings faded. Hed been so sure and was now, hed support her no matter what. He held her tighter but still gently. "I love you." his words almost came out breathlessly.

It felt like forever bedore he felt it appropriate to stop embracing her. "Youve made me one the happiest men alive." he chuckled softly. Yet what did she think? And he wondered if he had done the right thing. Her personal guard? Well Recluse could very well defend herself that was for sure.
