"Yolwan wan... Fan yoloch onakane." the yearling stated to her companion offhandedly.  It wasn't so much that she doubted her chubby pal's swimming abilities as it was that this place was just... kinda weird looking.  The pair traversed over the little bridge of sand so that they were now standing on what appeared to be an almost perfect circle... hole... land thing.  She stared into the water with concentration evident on her face.  It was obvious that the water got much deeper in the center, though the fae wasn't sure by how much.

"Fan loni he wan 'oreworeona." she spoke again to her companion after noticing just how plentiful fish were here.  The young girl didn't want her friend to be tempted and get lost deep in the danger hole.  Fir never trusted things she couldn't understand, and she certainly didn't understand the deep danger hole.  She squinted and scoffed at the sight, plopping her rump on the sand so that the hole might know she didn't intend on going anywhere anytime soon.  Dominance, or something like that.

Fennish Translation:  -Swamp lard... No swim here.
-For now look at shrubbery.

Auster was quiet, Hattori liked that. Back in Ashen it always felt as though someone was constantly calling at the borders, that he had to patrol till his paws ached as so many packs were smushed together. Their close proximity chafing despite the wide open space of the Archipelago. And still he often found himself wandering to the coast, nose twitching as he drew in the salty sea air. He did not expect to see anyone else here, he rarely ventured out with the intention of being social but the pale of his eyes soon fell upon a figure in the distance. Average in size and build, with a pallid, earthy coat. Like something rotting, but also somehow sweet. Antlers adorned their crown, coated in algae, a strange sight and clearly not native to these parts.

Drawing close, Hattori made no attempt to mask his approach. His wide set paws crunched against the sand, moving parallel to the tracks the stranger had already left. It seemed as though they were not alone, they spoke in a strange language to some sort of creature. Half duck, half mammal from the looks of it. He blinked slowly.

"What language is that?" Hattori asked.

Fir looked up as the sound of an unfamiliar voice reached her ears.  Approaching was an older male, primarily red and black with two sets of horns.  The yearlings first reaction to his appearance was that he honestly looked really cool, like some sort of charismatic villain or something.  She was a bit jealous and could actually feel a tinge of self consciousness bubble up from within.  "Er, Fennish..." the fae spoke quietly, still gawking at the male.  "Swamp language, from like... way north."

Should she really be telling strangers that she was from some far away land?  Probably not, but if Fir was in danger then she honestly couldn't think of a better way to go.  Let the mysterious big bad evil guy take her on in 1v1 combat.  It'd be a tale for the ages most certainly.  Or maybe he'd manipulate her into a string of events where she felt like she was doing good deeds for the sake of the world and then later find out in a dramatic twist of events that she'd been tricked into being just as evil as he.  She thought either or sounded pretty neat.  "Yolwan wan, 'shap yolap och afireona fankane kaneoch lonal.  Och' ochkane wan wan he wanap'nghavah 'shfan." she whispered to her flubbery friend.

Fennish Translation:  Swamp lard, stay away if stranger does evil thing.  It'll give mama a cool background story.
