Kichi made his way along the canyon at an easy trot, he was on a quest to fight and kill something.  Whether it became a hunt or some predator to kill he was bound to find one or the other.  His mind had been absorbed lately in other matters that had stolen his attention, roaming with intents to learn and kill but not focusing enough to really get anything done.  That was over now, Kichi wasn’t going to let younger kids than himself improve at a faster pace.  Kichi had once felt he was superior to all others, that’s what he’d been told as a pup after all.

That was a joke.  There were pups in the pack that apparently had better skills than he did.  Kichi had no excuse and that was bugging him lately.  Smelling bear Kichi learned that he’d have some fighting to do today.  Pulling his teeth back in a grin he spotted the bear up ahead at the entrance to the valley.  Kichi didn’t wait for an invitation or concerned about being alone.  His mind thought to how he’d been bested by two bears in the recent past.  There wouldn’t be a third occurrence.  Gravel skittered through his paws at the end of the canyon and then it was softer grass.

The bear roared as he approached, Kichi bared his fangs.  As the bear reached out to swipe Kichi spun around to bite at the paw but only getting fur.  The bear swung around and stepped in towards him with its muzzle hardly even a foot away, the bear’s paw coming at him again.  Kichi bit at the bear’s nose, getting a spurt of blood and the bear’s well-aimed shot paused as the bear’s paw hit the ground as it thrashed its head angrily about to get the wolf off his nose.
Kichi did something between jumping and falling a short distance, quickly regaining his balance and another stare-off.  


"Kichi"

Avacyn had been spending more time in the northern portions of Boreas as of late, both just to explore potions of the continent she hadn't yet seen and because it seemed to be the best place to find gems and metals among the mountains. She had learned to pace herself on her travels unlike the first time she traveled further out so at least she wasn't wearing herself out now. What she certainly hadn't been expecting was to find Kichi's scent as she was walking through the polar sound. She hadn't spent much time with the gray and white man, but his scent was familiar at the very least.

Curious, she followed it for a bit and spotted him just in time to see him charging in toward a bear. She assumed he was confident in his ability to handle the large predator since he ran in for it rather than being confronted by the bear, but she also didn't know that for certain and since she was here she figured she might as well help. She hurried down to him and arrived on the scene just as he was falling back from biting the bear's nose. She came at the bear from its right side and moved fast before it could react, landing a bite on its back leg and tearing into the lower portion near its ankle. The earned another roar from the bear and it tried to yank its leg away as it turned to be able to swipe a large, heavy paw at her but she let go and danced out of the way just in time for it to hit the ground where she had been standing.

"Avacyn Mendacium"

Al’s daughter appeared and ran in to join him in the fight. Whereas he could care less about most wolves he liked Avacyn even if he didn’t know her well. She was Al’s daughter and that was enough for a start though a whisper in the back of his mind suggested he should get to know her better.

She bit firmly into the bear and as it roared in pain or anger and turned to face the fast younger wolf. Kichi used the opportunity to leap on the bear’s back, aiming to bite the bear’s neck as he’d seen another do. Kichi shook his head working to tear the flesh, spotting where blood started to ooze out but the bear lifted itself partway off the ground and Kichi was losing balance. The plain coated wolf leaped off its back and a fast stride away, spinning about to face the bear once more, trying to see how much damage he’d managed.

Farther away, hidden in the shadow a small form stepped forward and the water deer gave an angry bark at the bear, warning it that he had picked with the wrong wolf and water deer. Yup, intimidating.

"Kichi"

Avacyn shifted back away from the bear as it spun to face her, preparing herself to need to dodge whatever attack it threw her way, but before she could do anything else Kichi leapt onto its back and started tearing at the back of its neck. She stood back and waited, looking for an opportunity, but she didn't get it until the bear started to rear up and Kichi was forced to jump down from the predator's back. While the bear was reared up mostly on its back legs she ran it, keeping to its left side as she went for its back leg again, this time ramming her spiked horns into the curve of its thigh and ripped into its skin as she flung her head back. That caused the bear to stagger and crumple under its own weight as she cut through some kind of important tendon and made it hard for the bear to stay standing. She darted back out of the way again, the bear's paw just barely grazing her shoulder and mostly just glancing off of her scales as she got out of range.

"Avacyn Mendacium"

Kichi ran back towards the bear, a wicked grin on his face seeing how Avacyn ripped its leg open. Kichi went to the opposing leg biting and thrashing it, tearing it open as much as possible until the bear’s rump end had no choice but to hit the ground. Kichi’s teeth hadn’t done as good of a job as Avacyn’s horns but it was all that was needed at this point to get the bear in a more vulnerable position.

The bear was doing something between trying to stand back up or just circle around using its front two legs for most of its power. Kichi hopped back up onto the bear’s back, now even his weight was added pain to the bear, digging back into the neck. The bear leaned back swiping for Kichi and the wolf jumped off, a chunk of bear meat spat out of his mouth, a smirk on his face. The wound was flowing well now and the bear couldn’t get up to run away. It was dead and almost helpless. The front end still had teeth and claws but it needed those things too much for the defense to make any great offensive attack.

"Kichi"

Kichi landed a solid attack on the bear's other leg and made Avacyn grin as the bear fell back onto its butt and wasn't able to get back up. Now it was just madly flailing and reaching for them and Kichi took that opportunity to get another strike in at the back of the bear's neck, ripping away another chuck of flesh. There was no way this bear was going to live after this even though it kept fighting with blood pouring from its wounds so Avacyn felt like it was only right to at least put it out of its misery—ignoring the fact that it was just fun and thrilling to go up against something like a grizzly bear and walk away unscathed with its pelt. She let it weaken and tire itself out a bit more before she took a running leap at the bear, connecting her front paws with its shoulder and shoving it down onto its side with a heavy thud. As soon as it hit the ground she was biting and ripping into its throat to finally get that killing blow in, leaving it gurgling and struggling for a few moments before it finally fell still and silent.
