Evening arrived with a roar more than a hush. Birna pinned her round ears against her head as she descended into the gorge. She had no particular reason for being there, simply scouting out nearby territories and getting a sense for the prey. She'd slain and consumed a mountain goat early which left her sated and with a little extra energy to fuel her exploration. Something about this Gorge seemed to trap or amplify the wind. There was a notably cold bite to it, unsurprising at it rushed in from the north. Autumn would soon give way to winter. Birna looked forward to it. She would be in her element.
