Couldn't Picture More
Noir

Her life hadn't really changed in the eve of joining alongside Noir. They were still travelers, loners but no different than her life in the band or after they had split up. It felt relieving to have someone there for her though, different than the ways they had met prior. Being with Noir after their intimate times just made them all the more worth while. She couldn't put a label on their relationship but she liked to believe that they were a couple.
She never questioned him. Where he went, if there were nights that he didn't come back to her. A corrupt part of her knew better and she was able to shut herself down of any hurt thoughts and just live the life she had been given. It wasn't the best with after the loss of her children but she felt like it was getting better.
As the evening grew, Duchess cooked her hunt on a fire outside their den. She shook off the pelt in their den outside before placing it back center inside and laying down by the fire waiting for the deer dinner to finish up.

Always having someone beside him was much different from the way he usually lived his life. There was Summer and there was loneliness. The raven was much darker these days than her name implied, mostly going feral as she voicelessly served her master. She was no comparison to having a she wolf beside him. Duchess gave him the attention that he craved, and she was given his own in return. There weren’t many nights he spent without her now.
Little did she know Noir did not make it very far in any direction without her. Life was just… better when he had the little mottled purple woman at his side. He didn’t find himself seeking out more attention, negative or positive, when he had Duch. Knowing he could do whatever he wished, to her detriment or gain, whenever and however he wanted made the man feel powerful in ways he hadn’t ever known before. The way she clung to him and held him tight no matter what he gave her.
Duchess was becoming a permanent facet in his life, his own jewel to behold. Noir didn’t want to ever let her go. So he didn’t think he would. Massive paws carried him back to camp after a quick patrol. He hadn’t made enemies recently but it was always better to watch his back. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so he returned to Duch’s side. With a dark grin Noir strolled up beside her and made himself comfortable next to her by the fire. Making sure their sides were touching as he watched the fire lick the cooking flesh before him. She was turning into a fine little housewife too. ”You’ve been busy today.” He commented with a deep rumbling from his chest as he tilted his head to catch her out of the corner of his eye. All the while a sly grin played over his sharp teeth.

Duchess had seemed to pay little attention to Noir as he joined her back at camp other than a little glance before he joined her at her side. It was different though when he was there, looking forward at the fire and their cooking meals. He could probably feel or see her eyes on him then.
She could honestly fake smiles around him now, though maybe they weren't so fake. Duchess found comfort in him in just the same way he did with her. The day he asked her to be his seemed so far away. Her emotional state at the lowest he had ever seen and hopefully the only time he would ever see her that way. Duchess didn't have a problem with being physically weak and bendable to what Noir wanted. Honestly she was mentally that way too. But she didn't want to seem like a completely broken and destroyed woman for him. She was willing to give him anything he asked, and she felt maybe lucky to be as happy as she was. Or at least as happy as she could be after the loss of her children. She knew she had changed over the course of her few years but she knew she could never change any of what had happened. She just had to try and make everything better from here, fake or not.
Her paw carefully went to curl around his own before she commented, "It's easy hunting for the two of us." Maybe a glimpse into the pack and band background she had lived in prior. She liked providing for Noir in ways that she could, she liked being useful. It wasn't long after that she stood to pull off the cooked deer meat to serve to him and herself. She took a few bites before mentioning, "I had a raven come by today inviting me to a festival at Elysium, if you wanted to come with me." She wouldn't really ask him to go with her, but the offer was there. What she wasn't mentioning at the moment was how Ricin was important to her which was probably why she had been invited and why she was sure she was going. The party was partly for him after all. "The hosts have an fun way of entertainment." She joked subtly, a little smirk on her maw that may have been suggestive to her time there not so long ago but before they were at each other's sides.

Laying beside Duchess felt good, she was a constant he didn’t realize he had wanted or needed. They had been together long enough that he could see her mood swings, he knew there was something deeper beneath the surface that she tried to cover. He wasn’t quite so dense she could hide everything, but most of the time it felt like they were in their own little world. Like there wasn’t much outside their campsite that mattered but the wolf beside them. There was a constant pull and draw of affection and attraction to her from Noir. Even now as he really began to learn the purple mottled woman.
She wrapped her little paw around his own before her voice spoke up softly. She told him how easy it was to hunt for the two of him. She did keep him fed well, that wasn’t his favorite quality of her but it was a bonus. Duchess would easily make him fat and happy. Speaking of, she pulled away to tend to the dinner she had cooking. He’d never been one to heat his meals, but he had to admit the fire kissed flesh was delicious. She offered him a portion as she began to consume her own, and tel him what happened during her day.
Noir started to pull at the hot meal, careful as he peeled the flesh from bone. His brow lifted curiously as she mentioned a raven and Elysium festival. ”As your date?” He teased her softly as she asked him to come along with her, but she continued with her knowledge of Elysium. ”I’ve never heard of them before… fun, eh?” He questioned her between bites as his tail wagged lazily at her hip.
