Talking To The Moon
Arcturus

Vanille had slowly been spending more time with Arcturus as the weeks went by. It went from a couple times a week, to most days a week, and now she seemed to be calling him from the Elysium borders everyday. And she was at this point. She had to leave him to get back to her den before it got too late, but she was coming to see him every single day. Maybe he wondered why she didn't stay with him or at least closer. They weren't exactly labeled, but maybe that was more of their young and inexperienced nature. It was no secret that both of them mattered so much to the other if only in the amount of time they spent together. She had considered Arcturus a really good friend.
As it was dark from her travels, she made it back to her den off of the Rio Grande that she had shared once with her mother. She didn't go to lay down immediately, instead taking the pelt out to shake off any dirt and debris that may have accumulated over the last few days before starting a fire and then laid partially outside the den comfortably nearby. She couldn't help this sense of loneliness when she left Arcturus but it only grew worse as nights went on. She didn't have anyone else, as suggested by the time she wanted to spend with him in any way. And now that her grieving process was over she was actually discovering that it wasn't. That during the long night she had to focus on hunting and surviving for that period of time. Being around Arcturus had brought up those emotions of loss towards her mother. Not while she was with him, but afterwards when she was left without him. She wouldn't admit on her own at least.
