Sparrow had hoped to raid Fireside soon, but Tyrian had told her of his plans and honestly she was sad to see Fireside shift or change in any way at all, but she was so genuinely glad for him. He had grown up in leadership and all those things and while he did keep a great many wolves together, it seemed like a lot of pressure that weighed on him. With that, however, if no one else stepped up to the plate, that would mean Fireside was over. She never had any intention to BE fireside, but she would offer any of them a place among her pirates. Fireside was her home and her family- literally a lot of her family- and she wanted them to know they had somewhere to go if they wished. With Tyrian's permission, she called for Fireside and any of the pirates who had come with her.

So his ankle was definitely not healed yet. Any time pressure was placed upon it, a wince slashed across his face. But he couldn't not accompany Sparrow. He was Sin now and needed to be there to support his Pirate King in times of politics and unity and all that other shit that others cared way too much about. Not like Fireside was a far walk anyway, just a stone's throw north of the beach. He was able to manage and even though Modesty was due with their pups any day now, Gil had to at least make an attempt to show face. Approaching now as Sparrow called for him and the pirates, he let a lazy grin slew across his lips. Keeping his words to himself, he would wait for the next steps to unfold.

Well, it looked like Fireside was coming to a close. What a great long series that was! It had been a wild ride, but Ares wasn't quite ready to call it quits. He had hoped someone would step up to keep the fire going, but nobody did. He didn't really have an interest in leading a pack, and even if he had taken up leading Fireside, he didn't feel like he'd be able to do a good a job as those in the past had. Nah, leadership wasn't for him. Second in command maybe, but even that was a long shot. He enjoyed being able to do what he wanted and boss around the lower ranks, sure. But he was always somewhat content in his role in the world, whatever that was.

So when dear cousin(?) sparrow came and called, Ares headed to meet her to see what was up. He was aware of her pirate-style pack, and quite frankly, it sounded like fun. Maybe if Fireside really was going down, he could just move on over to a new chapter and a pirates life.

Gilgamesh had accompanied Sparrow despite his well-earned crushed paw. She appreciated the efforts as a newly minted sin. They needed to get Fireside squared away first before they really were able to celebrate him. Besides, the more the merrier, as it were. Gil settled by her side as she called and they waited. After some while, another appeared. He was older, and somewhat familiar, though Sparrow had too many relatives to truly count. She tossed him a smile, still waiting for others to show up in the back of her mind and in the heart of her hearts. "So, you still up for starting some trouble with your family?" she asked with a lopsided smile and mischief already brimming in her eyes.

He had been the only one to arrive. And when Sparrow asked him if he was up for starting trouble with his family, he nodded. "You know it!" He flashed a grin, though it didn't last too long as he looked around to see if anyone else from Fireside would be coming along. They waited for what felt like a while, but it would remain just the three of them, it seemed. He glanced back at the pair of them, offering a nod of greeting finally to the stranger male before turning his attention back to Sparrow. "Looks like it's just me for now, so what the's next step?" He was ready to get out of here and start the next leg of his journey in life.

Ares was eager and willing to join the pirates. Sparrow flashed a smile. The three of them- or maybe just Sparrow- made small talk while they waited for others. When no others came, Ares greeted and asked for the next step. Sparrow hadn't thought of it, but it could be a good chance. She tossed a glance at Gil, then back to Ares, "Well, by blood, you're more than qualified, so welcome aboard, BUT I'd like to double check that you're a good fit." Her mind kerthunked a few ideas around real fast. "To decide where you best rank and fit and before you stink of booze and pirate, choose a pack in Boreas and figure out what they got worth raiding for. Come back with that info, and we'll put it and you to good use in the Plunder."

He was disappointed that nobody else from Fireside had shown up. But ah, well, he supposed they had better things to do. Maybe he didn't have enough of a life to have anything better to do. But regardless, Sparrow's pack sounded like fun and she was putting him to the test. He listened as she spoke, a grin slowly appearing the more she went on. "A pack to raid, eh?" He mused. Surely he could check some of them out and decide. He hadn't been to all the packs, only really knew of the ones that had been standing around for a while, but the job seemed easy enough. "Aye aye, cap'n. I'll let you know what I find!" He grinned again, casting a wink towards the quiet guy. This would be a piece of cake, right?
