This land was new.
She had been here for a few days, venturing little and doing 'not much'. If she had to be honest, she'd say she was apprehensive. Too many places. Too many faces. Not enough sticking around, nor reasons to stick around. Wren decided to stick close to the water for now. It hadn't ever steered her wrong. She could count on it for direction, safety, and for comfort. Swishing a salmon pin tongue over her nose briefly, she got up and stopped feeling sorry for herself. There were places to be! Things to do! Stuff.. she'd find out eventually.
Whatever that was.
Wren knew better than to howl and alert others of her location. The den she left behind was makeshift at best. She roamed closer and closer to the waves, letting the chilly water suckle at her legs. The woman resisted a shudder, her pelt a bit on the thin side. Before long, she moved to the snow-covered sands. Movement caught her eye. The Bay seemed to be alerting her of a new face. Wren remained where she was, remained outwardly calm. What would happen now? She was surely spotted.
But would this be a good meeting?

"Speech!"
Widow was using as much of her new-found freedom as she could get her paws on. Unlike her brothers, she obeyed her mothers rule about staying within the lands during their first year and only leaving with her explicit permission. With her birthday came freedom she never considered, experiences she was excited for, and not too far away was a certain boy that she found venturing into her thoughts since the carnival and coming across him at the hot springs right after her birthday. He was actually on her mind now, drawing a small smile on her face as she wandered the shores of Fontamo Bay, letting the cool waters lap at her massive paws.
She wasn't fully grown yet, though she was quite tall and from a distance probably looked to be much older than she actually was. She noticed the brown wolf ahead of her but paid her little mind as she wandered as she was still a bit out from her at the time she noticed. As she approached the other wolf she offered a friendly and polite smile, but made no move to talk to her. Widow was content wandering peacefully and leaving strangers alone and unless the girl wanted to be bothered, Widow would continue on her way.

"Hey."
The girl was polite, not so much friendly but courteous. Wren found that she liked that after a long time on the road. Her head slipped down, giving the stranger a nod along with a short greeting. Weariness set into the young woman and she felt her rump hit the earth. Her eyes appeared tired almost but brightened up when she began to speak again.
"You live around here?" she asked, but realizing how that sounded she continued "I just came to this realm. Trying to get my bearings, really. Learning about the world here" Wren didn't want to be labeled a creep or a trespasser though "I'm Wren, by the way." The other hadn't been rude or cruel, so she opted to talk more.
