In Silence

Relm had obviously known about Merrick's injuries with the fact that they had to expand and change around patrols. She hadn't really known much though other than the fact that he was out of commission for the time being and probably a while. And... yeah a part of her felt bad. Was that pretty fucked up? Probably. But it was easy for Relm to look past the... things she asked for even if she was having this kind of pent up emotion in her. It was easy for her to hide because she was usually pretty tense and weird anyway. Not that she had been around Merrick since she had seen him last.

She had skinned and cut an elk she had caught earlier in the day not intending to want to take it to him but she had the idea as she was portioning the meat and preparing it for the stores. She found herself really nervous pretty much the rest of the day as she was building up the courage to take some to him. Not because of what had happened between them, but she didn't really want to look like a fool... without their last encounter in mind. Her and Merrick had gotten along before that pretty well she thought so... in a way he did kind of mean something to her. Not in any deep way of course.

Finally she gathered enough composure, cloak draped over herself like normal of course, to make it to his den and enter without saying a word. She stood there in the doorway for a moment before carefully stepping in and hopefully making her presence known before she placed the bundle of meats nearby him. She wasn't really looking at him, like her eyes were but she was completely blank and not really there. She wasn't seeing the extent of his injuries or anything while she was in this sort of trance. She just stood there for an awkward moment before she went to turn around to leave.
