It was snowing today. The lake was cold as ice, and she swore some parts of it were frozen over. She approached the edge for a drink and recoiled a bit when her toes touched the icy water. Her mom was taking a nap, her dad didn't live in Aerie, and her siblings well...they were around here somewhere. She took a few laps of the water, shivering as the cold liquid went down her throat. Things were quiet again today, but she still held out hope that something interesting would happen. Or at least something that would help cure her boredom, anyway.

Walking around the edge of the lake, she watched as some small minnows darted around eating whatever little bugs they could get their fins on. With winter upon them, she wondered how such creatures survived the cold when food was scarce. And living in icy cold water!? No thanks!

Eligos tilted his head slightly to the side as he saw the figure by the lake shore, surprised. This was one of Paradise's children, but he was surprised to see how much she had grown since last he had seen her. They were nearly yearlings now, and he wondered if any of them would remain in the pack they had grown up in, or if they would leave to join with their father's family. They were shaping up well - he would be pleased I they joined Aerie officially after their fosterage was over.

Moving up beside the fiery colored girl, he nodded to her. "Good morning."
