Day two. She had enjoyed her time here the day before, so once again she begged Valentine to take her back to the battlefield so she could try another fight. The last one had gone well enough. Her training was sort of paying off, but she wanted to try again so she could get better. After all, practice made perfect, right? Sure she could rough and tumble around with her siblings, but sometimes they whined when she smacked them too hard. Maybe whoever showed up today wouldn't whine if they got whacked. Wiping her paws in the snow, she threw her head back and called for another opponent! She was ready to rumble today, and she hoped someone else was, too!

The location of the battlefield was useful and strategic. There seemed to be a universal truce regarding it; no pack could claim such a place for their own. Sayuri was still attempting to become accustomed to this realm and its culture, though she held no shock when she came across the girl challenging others. She slowed her pace, blue eyes sparkling with an unreadable expression. "I shall be your foe." She replied to the howl's challenge with honor and duty. She noticed the girl's abnormal qualities. So many here held mutations that were favorable. The koi woman pulled her blade from her back and held it. Sheathed, of course. She could still bruise someone with it, blade or no blade. She could handle this! Even when her opponent pulled out what appeared to be a weapon of some sort. That definitely got Brida's interest, of course. She hadn't considered using something to help her in a fight, but she stored that for later as she got herself ready to go. With a deep breath, she lowered her head and lined herself up. The last time she went head-on at someone, it didn't work too well. So this time, she would try something else. She nodded her head to the woman just seconds before she moved. Kicking off, Brida charged toward the woman, though as she drew closer, she bounded to her left (Sayuri's right) and then slightly lifted herself up and tried to grab the other woman in a bear hug. Her goal was to grapple the woman's head and get some control over it for the moment, as well as use her weight to try and topple her over. Sayuri was ready. While she was not as experienced as some fighters, especially her alpha Hanzo Hattori, she could hold her own. The bear hug was retaliated against, with her holding the sheathed dagger. She attempted to place space between them by shoving the blunt end of the weapon at the girl's chest. A moment to wind her, if possible. She could feel the walls close in on her as Brida danced closer. The hug would come. Sayuri sharply lifted her blade from the chest and tried to smack the girl in the throat next. Pressure points were a thing, and she would use them to her advantage. If not, she was loathed to admit her shortcomings as a smaller wolf. She would overcome this. She had to. speech here

Well, she wasn't expecting that. She had practically run right into the woman's weapon, earning her opponent a momentary choking gasp as the air was pressed from her chest and throat. Brida didn't have any weapons or anything of her own as the older generations in her family mostly seemed to fight more traditionally without them from what she had seen, but maybe she would break that if she ever found something suitable that she could use. In a last-ditch effort, Brida momentarily backed off, but not without aiming a potentially well-timed hard slap at the woman to get at least something in. Though honestly, considering she was still figuring things out on her own, she didn't know how well it would work. But she sought to slap the woman hard with a heavy, bear-like paw and hopefully daze her. Sayuri felt her cheek sting with the slap. Grunting softly, she tried to withstand it best she could as she skid backward. Both girls seemed to be sizing each other up. She decided to close the distance. Darting forward, she aimed her weapon at the girl's neck. A sweeping gesture was used - And she attempted to knock the girl backward a bit using her sheathed blade. The meaty section of her throat was a good start to wind her again, but Sayuri didn't want to hurt her too much. The cheek sting was the only thing that seemed to connect with the woman at the moment. The fight was closing in on them, timing ticking down as the world seemed to slow. It would end soon.
