The stars danced within the darkness of the skies, the moon hidden with the little clouds that flew tall. Crickets sang soft, subtle, giving the night a calmness a young boy wanted to use for his many activities, most done when the sun was no more, rising instead along the moon. He was growing interested with the darker activities of life, the opposite of it. Death was a curious and mysterious topic he wanted to know more about, finding it near fascinating. But being a wolf who kept to himself he havent voiced this to any of his siblings nor even his parents, perhaps he was afraid of what they would think or if that would be allowed at all. He of course wanted to still be an asset to his father, to the king. To be part of his empire, to fight for him. But perhaps he could do a joint education with both arts? But was he really sure? He had yet to know but well, there was no rush to find out at all.

The boy wandered through the beach, aiming to perhaps find anything to do. But what?

Mornings weren't Chimera's strong suit thanks to the brute's pale skin and sensitive vision. Night was where he thrived. Overseeing a pack, however... it forced him to be active during the day. Mixing the two, Chimera spent half of the day awake and half of the night as well, often coming to bed quite late. Or quite early, depending on how you looked at it.

This night, the Fenmyrian King was out patrolling the beach when he came upon the sight of Orthrus meandering across the sand. A few well placed steps altered his course and he padded towards the boy. "Orthrus," the man greeted his son. "Looking for anything in particular?" Chimera didn't mind his children being awake late. Their mother might, but the King didn't mind at all, especially since he was also awake at such an hour.
