Building walls

Moving had sounded cool and it didn't take long for Azure to fall in love with the north, but it sure was a fuck ton of work. His days no longer centered around patrol after patrol after patrol, the mindlessness and monotony been forced aside. There were torches to install, dens to touch up, pathways to clear, walls to build, livestock to gather and a mountain of their own to maintain. The effort was worth it, but he did on days like this one, miss how easy it was to do nothing in the plains.

With Sirius' bear in tow, he arrived to the north western side of the valley to where the pass began to narrow. The bear was a hard worker and one of the few companions (that was not his own) that he could tolerate. The cart had been sized perfectly to the creature, who pulled it and the piles of reclaimed stone with relative ease. Once the materials were put aside and easily reachable, Azure dismissed the bear. It was time to work and he did not need the distraction of company today.

With his massive head he began to shove the first layer of stone into place, already regretting his decision on the project, and wondering how the fuck he was going to get them stacked high enough to offer any sort of protection.
