Corbie had been away from home hunting when the storm hit. The temperature had dropped rapidly - her only warning before the dreary day had turned dangerous - and she had barely made the shelter of an earthen overhang before the skies opened up. She could see the fjord's water far below her surging alarmingly, but she was far enough from the water that she was more than likely safe from any level of flooding. The wind was blowing insanely hard, driving hail before it mixed with rain so heavy she couldn't see in more than a foot in front of the overhang. Luckily, the wind was blowing to hit the back of the hill, so she was sheltered on three sides. Though it was just past noon the were so thick and dark that it almost seemed like night. She suspected she was going to be there for a while, and she hoped that Tam would be all right getting the sheep to shelter with just Ayer's help. The kinkajou wasn't exactly built for shepherding. Sighing in frustration, she picked up some stones that had fallen from the side of the bank and began making increasingly elaborate patterns with them to distract herself.
unless otherwise stated, Corbie's kinkajou companion is with her at all times

The sky was dark as if it were night, but even Lucian knew that it wasn't supposed to be dark. He hated storms, but at least the dark sky made it easier for him to see before the rain started. He hadn't been so lucky to find shelter before the rain hammered down, however, leaving the frail boy drenched and shivering from fear and cold. Being left out in storms was something he was used to happening, but even still he wasn't comfortable with them. Though with the rain pouring down and his eyes already struggling more than enough, he was essentially blind as he wandered through the fjord.

There was really no use in finding a place for shelter since he couldn't see, but walking along the rocks with the threat of water below was enough to at least convince the boy to hunker down right where he was and press himself into the stone, his face finding an uncomfortable position between his body and the rock to prevent the water from beating down on his face and as much as he could prevent from running into his shell-less ears.
