Storms were frequent this season, it seemed, and while she was trying to stay close to home to not get caught out again, she had needed to hunt, and her track had brought her all the way up here. She had been so close to her prey that she hadn't paid enough attention to how far she had gone, or the weather.

Turned out that the storms of further south were late blizzards up here. This time she hadn't been able to find shelter before the storm hit, and she crouched miserably in the blinding snow and wind without any idea which way to go to find someplace out of the weather. A cave, a den, a pleasant cabin, anything. She had to hope that someone would stumble upon her who happened to know where shelter was
unless otherwise stated, Corbie's kinkajou companion is with her at all times

Lucette was really regretting the fact she had decided to poke around this area now. She had come with Bae-Syl to the land her father had often spoken of in hopes that she might somehow find him, her mother, or her siblings, but thus far there had been little luck. She wasn’t too concerned about that part though - she had Bae at least. Sure finding her family would be nice, but Luce had also accepted the fact that sometimes life didn’t work out as you planned. Life could be cruel… and maybe she’d never find them. As long as she had her bestie it would be alright. They had each other and thus wouldn’t be alone.

Unless, of course, like an idiot, she went out wandering right before a storm hit. Freezing winds wiped around her tiny frame as the she-wolf miserably pushed through the falling snow. She couldn’t see where she was going, but she knew that their shelter had been in this direction. All she had to do was make sure she didn’t freeze before she made it back there.

Misty white breaths escaped her as she took step after step… only to suddenly recoil in shock. The girl hadn’t even noticed the other wolf until she was nearly upon the stranger crouching down in the snow. “Hey!” She barked as loudly as she could, hoping to be heard over the wind and catch the stranger’s attention. “Are you okay?! Shelter’s this way!”
