She was not allowed to stray far from Ignis, despite him leaving her alone for small amounts of time. Eden felt strangely lonely without someone - even him - around her, so she opted to leave the den. It was spring now. Another year had passed, and she was now one step closer to seniority. At four years old, she felt her time ticking away. Her morality ticking away. It was also her heat season... She would need to be careful not to attract unwanted attention, for what that was worth. Having already attracted Ignis, she felt she couldn't do worse at times. But he hadn't touched her untowardly, nor done anything to warrant hate. Just kept her around and left her alone when he wanted to. Why couldn't she do the same?

So instead of lazing about and doing nothing, she opted to leave the den near the Pirate's Plunder. She refused to call it 'their den' out of spite. What sort of wolf was she turning into? Annoyed, irritated... Hateful, petty. Ignis had already done a number on her sanity. Eden wasn't like this. She refused to lay down and let him push her around. He was gone again, so she roamed Fern Gulley instead of moping. Peeking her head out, she exited and walked. It felt good to stretch her legs again, however short they were. Spotting a patch of yarrow, she approached. There were some seeds here, and she wondered if Sparrow had a garden on the Pirate's land. If she was a healer, she might as well make one.

Yarrow was good to stop bleeding. She felt it was good enough for her sparse knowledge, to take some of the plants back with her. Would Ignis be annoyed if she stepped outside of the den? She stayed in the location and didn't run away, so he could shove it! The woman huffed to no one in particular before getting to work. She dug up the yarrow best she could, using her tiny paws to work around the dirt and muck. The ground was soft from the melt, so she used that in her favor. The soft white flowers were pretty; maybe she could get away with saying they were to spruce the den up? It wasn't as if the yarrow could harm Ignis; it wasn't poisonous. Eden gathered some seeds too for good luck, carefully transporting the bundle back.

If the beach wouldn't be suitable for a garden, she could plant one here. Fern Gulley was a good little place for this. Eden began to dig again, her white limbs slowly turning brown. She deposited the seeds and plants at the entrance of the den. Her eyes on her task, she made two rows of upturned dirt. It was like seeing farmland - albeit a small one - growing slowly. She had two rows of dirt and she had the seeds... She'd be able to plant them in the loamy soil. She dug again, this time scooping out dirt and placing it to the side so little holes were in two lines. Then she planted the seeds and finished up. The yarrow was placed inside the den, while the seeds would become full flowers come summer. The plant that she stored was for whatever pack they settled down in, Pirates or not.

But she had to get more flowers and more plants. If she was to be a healer of a reputable source, Eden had to practice more. She had to do more to learn. Maybe she could find another healer to teach her? But would Ignis allow that? As long as she was under his control, she had to accept she was not allowed to do much with her life. The tiny woman sighed, wondering how her other acquaintances were doing. Perhaps if she hadn't waited to join a pack, she'd be under their safety. She wouldn't be in this situation. There was not much else to do but fight the red man - the Red Demon - on everything he did and tried. "Grow up soon, little ones" she mused to the buried seeds. Eden placed her head on her paws, watching time slip by.

There she remained for about half the day, wondering and waiting. How sad, how pathetic... To want her captor to come back so she wouldn't be alone. Perhaps she could run, but she didn't want anything to happen. He hadn't been cruel, and that could change in an instant. Best not poke the bear, even if she didn't like to be left alone herself. Best to just do what the bear says to do, else she'd risk his scary punishments. "At least you'd keep me company..." she murmured to the earth, the seeds, and the eventual flowers to be. Eventually, Eden got up and entered the den again. She drifted off to sleep, woken only if Ignis returned.
