After The Storm

Birna was grateful for the rain that swept through the western lands and brroke thorugh the cycle of heat that had preceded it. Interested in doing some exploring she had descended from Waterfall Peak and shifted course westward into a section of plains the locals called 'the dancefloor of the gods'. The rain had stopped but the gray skies persisted much to her delight. Her thick coat could be a burden sometimes in the higher temperatures of the southern territories. At least this grassland was far enough north not to be terribly uncomfortable.
She settled in to watch a small herd of deer grazing off to the east. Occasionally they would look up from their meals, seeming to sense her prescence but failing to find it. She had eaten before the journey but made note of the prey numbers and scents that she picked up on her travels.
