Kotori’s found the hot springs to be fairly pleasant.  The hallows had been here before they relocated and Kotori wondered if it had been a hard decision when they chose to move.  The wolf had been intending to hunt a deer that was near the falls but then an unwanted visitor appeared.  Certainly, the hot springs were a nice place to visit and the large bear seemed to feel a wolf wasn’t a reason to avoid the enjoyment of the warm waters.  

Kotori watched as the deer noticed the bear, running off fearfully.  Well, the hunt was over and it was instead time to kill a bear.  Kotori ran straight at the bear who at first seemed indifferent but once Kotori was close it half-reared up, stretching out with a mighty attempt to hit Kotori in the chest.  The horned wolf dodged the attack, pivoting to the right where the bear's outstretched arm hadn’t fully retracted and clamped his teeth around it.  The bear twisted its head around apparently ready to just bite off part of Kotori’s head.

Kotori let go of the arm, snarling at the bear as the bear roared back.

"Kotori Fatalis"

Keahi lounges in a deep pool at the hot springs, her polar bear armor resting on a rock not far from her. The water smells awful but the humidness of the air and water reminds the tropical wolf of her island. The red woman lays submerged underneath the water, eyes closed as she counts off the seconds. It is a training exercise that helps increase her lung capacity. It is important to be able to hold her breath underwater in case she shipwrecks. With a pang of sadness, Keahi corrects her statement, it was important. At a minute and thirty seconds, she kicks her red legs out and breaks the surface, pulling in a lungful of air. Not bad, but not as good as she used to be able to do. Eyes open and she shakes her head to rid her ears of water.

The sounds of a ruckus pulls the tropical woman’s attention away from her enjoyment of the springs and she finds Kotori, fighting a huge grizzly. Inwardly, Keahi groans as she effortlessly pulls herself from the pool, water falling in thick curtains from her fur and the tropical wolf charges straight for the fight. She leaves a trail of droplets and the weight of her wet fur feels weird but she wishes to help Ko. Red form blurs past the earthen male, spraying water as she goes, and she leaps at the grizzly’s face in a furry. Damn thing ruined her peaceful time! Opening wounds on its cheek and muzzle, Keahi’s paws hit the ground and back pedal as she lashes out the paws that try to smack at her.


"Keahi Mogotsi"

Kotori looked for the best opening as the bear moved in towards him.  He had no doubts about defeating the bear but it was admittedly easier to do when it was a two-wolf fight.  Well, that part was solved quickly enough.  Keahi appeared and attacked the bear and did a fine job of taking the bear’s attention off of him.

Kotori ran at the bear, jabbing his horns into its back leg, giving his head a jerk to rip the horns through the bear’s flesh and then back out leaving a nasty gash in its place.  The bear looked between the wolves in a moment of hesitation and Kotori used that moment to bite the leg where he’d bit it, teeth sinking in deep after having already opened up the flesh.  
The bear roars in pain before determinedly focusing his attention on Kotori.  Most bears were pretty dumb.


"Kotori"

The bear is angry, swinging at the red wolf who has scarred it check while Kotori jabs it with his horns. Keahi snarls at it, trying to keep its focus on her but the stupid grizzly goes for the Ko since he hurt it last. When will they learn? With its side to her, the red woman rushes toward its front leg and bites into the elbow joint. Unfortunately, it rounds on her, forcing the tropical woman to release her hold and drop back to avoid her head getting taken off by those massive paws. Luckily, it is now focused solely on her, leaving Kotori a huge opening to use, if he wants it.

"Keahi Mogotsi"

Kotori runs back in, leaping back onto the bear's back, biting into its neck and pulling up, shredding through the flesh. Releasing what was left of the fur he’d bite again into the neck, digging in deeper.  It didn’t take long before the bear was standing up on two legs again, making Kotori leap off with a chunk of the bear still stuck in his mouth.  The bear's roaring was as much pain as hate.

Looking between the two bears it turned to actually try fleeing.  For sport or mercy killing it was best to finish it.  Kotori didn’t feel any sort of mercy to any species other than wolves so this was just because he believed in finishing what he had started.

Kotori ran after the bear, biting into a back leg, making it harder for the bear to get far.

"Kotori Fatalis"

They work together, making the bear second guess itself. Kotori leaps on the creature’s back and Keahi flashes a grin at him, tempted to tease him for being a showoff. However, a huge paw aimed at her head forces the red woman to duck but she manages to deliver a painful bite to it as a warning. Bears never to seem to live long once they show up and this grizzly is no exception. When the great beast rids itself of Ko, she watches as it weighs its options before the beast turns to flee.

Same old thinking, same old dead bear. Ko runs after the grizzly, biting into its back leg and slowing the lumbering creature. Keahi is already racing past him, up along the grizzly’s side and lunging at its neck for the killing blow. Teeth shred fat and fur, getting down to the vital parts which she makes quick work of. She darts away as hot blood arches through the air, painting the ground as the bear stumbles forward, trying to outrun its fate.

But her aim is true and it only makes it a few steps before collapsing, the once mighty predator reduced to a twitching mass as its life departs it body. Once the death throes have ceased, Keahi looks to Kotori, her tongue darting out to lick away the blood on her lips as she joyfully teases, “Showoff.” Laughter fills the air as she sets about helping Kotori part the dead creature with its pelt.
