It was no surprise really that Chord Destruction had taken off after his grandparents had set the example. For a while now the boy had been itching to get out an explore the lands beyond his home, adventure was calling him to leave Ahlon and they had given him the grand excuse to do so. They'd set off to find aunts and uncles he'd never really even known existed and he'd quickly declared his own urge to meet them. It would be rather interesting to see some of these mysterious family members, see what life had thrown their direction but mostly the boy was simply needing to get out for himself.

He had followed the scent of his grandparents most of the way, though upon nearing a pack, Chord had been swift to divert his path and head off elsewhere into the lands. He wasn't prepared to go and meet these Destructions just yet, he certainly wished to at some point, he hadn't been lying to his parents but there was simply so much to see that he couldn't help but take a little look at the world first of all.

Now Chord had found himself at the edge of cliffs, gazing out at a wide expanse of ocean that momentarily took the boys breath away. The view, was rather astounding, fortunately a rather clear day he could see relatively far out. There wasn't really much to explore and he certainly didn't want to take a trip down the cliffs but for a moment he'd observe the sight before him. Behind him the rest of Alacritia could wait for now, but Chord Destruction was here and ready to explore.

Poem had slowly been making her way around these new lands, having split from her siblings to explore on her own for a bit. After spending time in the north it was a welcome relief to be making her way back toward the slightly warmer areas. Of course, with winter soon coming everywhere would be colder, but at least it wouldn't be quite as frigid. For this she was grateful.

The tri-colored Destruction padded along the cliff, having already gotten bored of the view. It was just the ocean, what was there to look at? But, soon she would see a figure standing in her path up ahead, a two-toned wolf, a younger male by the smell of him. Poem wouldn't slow her pace. She would instead keep on moving toward him, figuring he would either move out of her way or want to speak, neither of which she would have a problem with.

As she got closer she decided that perhaps the better thing to do would be to stop and chat, figuring that the more wolves she knew around here the better. It seemed like a hassle, but none of the less she would do it. She would sigh softly and her long strides would slowly come to a stop several feet from him. She didn't know what to expect of his personality so she wouldn't want to get too close till she had figured him out. "Hello," she would say simply, already mildly regretting her decision to stop. She would settle onto her haunches, her tail sweeping to curl around her neatly, waiting to see if this male was in fact worth speaking to.

Chord hadn't really considered his adventures all that much, all he knew was that he wanted them. Where he'd go, what he'd do and who he'd meet none of that had been thought through at all, it meant for interesting surprises likely though also meant he wasn't prepared at all for the kinds of wolves he might meet. All the young boy had really known in his life so far was Ahlon, sure it'd been quite the adventure to get here, travelling the lands to find Alacritia, but to be honest he'd probably only made it in the first place thanks to the trail that his grandparents had left for him.

For now the young Destruction lad was happy to rest for a moment, vivid eyes gazing out at the scene ahead of him, he was content with his lack of plan in life not caring in the slightest that he had no idea where to go next whereas some wolves perhaps would be a little more cautious and careful with making such decisions; not Chord. His plan was simply to pick a direction and head in it, keep walking wherever his paws led him.

Of course the plan would be delayed it seemed as he suddenly heard the approach of another, ears would twist in her direction at first and then head would follow suit, gaze resting upon the other as she greeted him. "Hi there." He answered her in return, a small, friendly smile forming on his features. He hadn't expected company, but sure, he'd accept it.

The boy gave a similarly simple greeting in return, not that Poem had expected much more than that. If he had immediately gone into some sort of "small talk" Poem might have just turned and walked away. But, instead she went on, telling him, "I'm Poem Destruction. You are...?" She left it open for him to fill in his own name. She believed that names said a lot about a wolf so that would be her first step in getting to know this stranger.

She wondered what her siblings were doing at this moment. She knew the both of them had planned to come to this place known as Alacritis as well, but she had quickly gone off on her own to do her own exploring. Her earthen colored ears would stay tilted forward and her golden gaze would stay fixed on the young wolf, but her mind had begun to wander even as she spoke. It wasn't uncommon for her to easily grow bored, but with any luck the half russet, half white male would prove interesting enough to grab her attention once again.

She didn't seem all that enthusiastic Chord thought, and a part of him wondered why she had bothered to come over to him in the first place. Did she maybe want him to move? Well he was here first and there was plenty of space on the rest of the cliff, she could go and sit somewhere else if she really wanted to, he wasn't moving. Not yet anyway and if she wanted him too, well he'd sit here a little longer just because he could.

As she introduced herself however, that plan quickly got thrown out of the window as a grin formed across his features. "No way!" He exclaimed, chuckling at this oddity. She had the same last name as he did, could they be family? He knew there were plenty of other Destructions roaming around, it was the reason his grandparents had left after all but he hadn't expected to meet any of them quite so soon. "I'm Chord Destruction."

One of Poem's brows raised in confusion at the boy as he suddenly exclaimed with excitement, a huge grin on his face. She didn't know what in the world could be that exciting about her name, but then he went on to introduce himself. Her eyes widened with surprise and her attention quickly focused on him once more. She looked him over, searching for any kind of family resemblance. He did have the same sort of bright, orangish coloring that was mixed into her sister's coat, but other than that she didn't see it. It was quite possible he was from a different branch of the family though. It was no secret that there were plenty of Destructions out there in the world, but of all the ways and places to find one.

Her yellow gaze came back to his green one, her eyes now showing her curiosity. What had started as just an obligatory greeting had turned into an unexpected meeting of family. "Destruction? Really? Well, it certainly is a small world. It's very nice to meet you, Chord." In her head, she was reaching back into her memories of what she knew of her family tree. "Tell me, who are your parents? Or better yet, your grandparents?"

Novel's siblings had been very divided and his grandmother's siblings or parents certainly never mentioned, it meant that the other intriguing thing about Poem's name went completely unnoticed by Chord and sadly Poem's side of the family tree would be brand new to him and his to her. For now though his cheery mood remained very much intact despite not having a clue how they were connected to one and other, she wasn't an aunt nor was she a cousin given their age difference but all the same Chord was pleasantly surprised to meet a new Destruction.

Her interested seemed to have piqued a little more now as well, family apparently not only important amongst he and his siblings a rather pleasant revelation to the russet marked boy. "Back atcha" He responded, a rather less formal way of returning her pleasantries. "Lyric and Darilnor are my parents, mum's the Destruction." He responded, figuring that it was that side of the family Poem would rather focus upon. "And grandparents are Novel and Dutiron."

"Hmmm..." she hummed thoughtfully as she attempted to connect the ties between them and failing. She gave a soft chuckle and stated, "It seems our family tree stretches a lot farther than I expected." She would have to be sure to ask her siblings if they knew any more of their family tree than she did. She had never really paid attention to those things after all so she wasn't much help.

She glanced out over the cliff beside them, looking out at the ocean that sparkled with the sunlight. She could hear the ocean hitting the shore down below. "What were you looking at?" she asked, remembering that he was looking out this direction when she had walked up moments before.

Poem's expression would change slightly as she grew more thoughtful and Chord would mimic the action slightly, confused by her words. She hadn't heard of anyone in the family, was there some secret relatives then that he had no idea about? He supposed that there must have been, though regardless it wouldn't stop his next question from suddenly spilling from his lips, curious for the answer. "Who are your parents then?" She had enquired his parentage after all, so surely he should be allowed to do the same. Besides, maybe the stories of the family simply hadn't travelled quite so well around here, maybe he could figure out how they were related?

His gaze would glance back over his shoulder to the view he'd been looking at moments before as Poem questioned him. "Oh, nothing really." Chord responded, flicking his attention once more back to Poem. "I just sort of ran out of path, didn't really feel like walking off the cliff so stopped here for a bit." There wasn't really any other explanation, there was nothing particularly interesting, Poem could see it all easily enough for herself.

Scorpion took no time to realize the missing presence of his litter mate. Determined to know what she was getting herself into, he had a string urge to keep his eyes on her while in this new land. His large paws would carry him over her path, following the scent of his wandering sister. Apparently he hadn't been too far behind her either, it wasn't long before her voice would grace his ears. Picking up his pace the large Destruction found her form in his sights. The daylight would bring itself upon his back as the ocean's view became available to him. Yellow light would also reveal the second form, one who seemed to have captured Poem's attention. Not minding if he had interrupted a conversation or not he would announce himself and intentions. "What have you found, sister?" his dark ears would swivel towards the boy curiously. The pup was certainly no threat to her prowess. Angling his features he would peer into the younger wolf's eyes, curious about his almost familiar scent. Refraining from addressing him Scorpion would await Poem's explanation. Bringing himself to stand parallel to her perfect form, and settling into a relaxed state.?

To Chord's curious question about her own lineage, she would simply answer, My father was Adrenaline and mother was Maia" She didn't know if maybe someone had informed the boy about more of his family tree than her side of the family had her. Maybe he would be able to piece them together.

He would answer her own question and she would scoff softly. She was about to reply something along the lines of walking off cliffs is certainly not a hobby he should pick up, but she was interrupted by the sudden appearance of her brother. She should have known that she wouldn't leave Scorpion's sight for long. Poem chuckled and nudged him gently with her shoulder. "Well, it seems I've found another Destruction," she replied, her golden gaze shifting from her brother back to Chord. "Chord, this is my brother, Scorpion. Scorpion, this is Chord Destruction. His mother is Lyric Destruction and his grandparents are Novel and Dutiron. Do you know about any of them?" She figured it would just be easier to fill her brother in than have to go through the questions again.

The names mentioned certainly didn't ring a bell, never once had any of his great aunts and uncles been mentioned to the boy and he'd shake his head at the mention of the names. "No, never heard of them" He responded to his mystery relative. Well, they were both Destructions and that much would do for him for now. He had sought to meet some of his aunts and cousins, though his main quest was for adventure not a detailed account of the family tree.

Before their conversation could be continued any further they were interrupted by another wolf. This new man resembled the other somewhat in appearance and scent, and the explanation for that was quickly given as he referred to the other as his sister. So more family, though still what to call them he had no idea. Poem would introduce the two males to each other and Chord would give a small nod of greeting as she continued to speak explaining who he was and attempting to see if Scorpion could help them out at all with this family tree issue. "Nice to meet ya." He added to Scorpion once Poem had finished speaking.

The young male would lower his head in greeting, giving quick acknowledgement to his presence. Scorpion would adorn a scrutinizing gaze before Poem allowed the boys lineage to be shared. One of the Destruction blood? So far out here? He was instantly curious, his scent was very much different. However this young boy had to have come from somewhere, maybe there were others to be found. Eyebrows raised he would find his ears swiveling to take in his sister's voice. He would shift so his shoulder rested upon her form, finding her touch pleasant after tracking her here. It seemed the two of them had been discussing the family tree.?

Adrenaline had been rather proud of his heritage, thanks to this Scorpion had a rather complete understanding of the known lineage. Only one name would stand out to him though, Novel. He didn't know the woman, but he knew who she was. Chord would break Scorpion's thoughts with a verbal exclamation of his pleasure. He wondered how much of the world the tyke had seen. From his voice and demeanor it was rather obvious his soft upbringing. Maybe this Novel woman had not taken after Series so much. "It pleases me to find more of the blood flowing in these lands. It is met well, young Chord." his words would slither from mossy lips. "Novel was father's sister," his tail would sweep over his own sister's back. "The other names are not known." bright yellow gaze would peer over his distant cousin's form. "Where do you hail from?"?

CAN YOU TELL ME WHO YOU ARE

can you tell me where i am

Ballad moved closer, her ears picking up snippets of information, like the name Destruction, mentioned several times. The white creature found this conversation interesting enough, and moved closer, her twisted hind paw trailing behind her like a symbol of her shame. Her soft breathing was almost inaudible to her own ears, but her rising chest made it look like she was breathing heavily, loud enough to be heard. Claws clicked on the ground, and Ballad winced as her paw hit gravels, making her wince. But, by now, she was almost used to the pain, almost used to the shocking fear that spread through her whenever her paw hit something. Gray-brown eyes widened as she saw both of her siblings, Scorpion and Poem, talking to the wolf. He must be pretty interesting, she decided. Then, as she moved closer, beside her brother, she tilted her head when Scorpion called him 'blood'. Was this wolf a Destruction?

Ballad listened to the conversation a little while longer, listening to Scorpion tell this wolf his lineage, along with calling him Chord. With a questioning glance at her brother, Ballad sat down, her injured paw stretched away from her. Narrowing her eyes, she looked at Chord, her eyes harsh and cold. Then, when she saw the markings underneath his eyes, she wagged her tail, making it thump on the ground, and smiled. With a shake of her head, in disbelief, Ballad looked at the other wolf again, not sure if she should trust him. He was a Destruction, like them, but her own supposed best friend, besides Series, had been the one to injure her so badly. Not that Poem or any of the others besides Series knew; hopefully, they just suspected that she had gotten injured on a hunting trip when she was younger. As if making sure, Ballad looked over at Scorpion, then at Poem, her eyes narrowed just a fraction, before she turned to the other wolf, Chord. Then, she began to speak, her voice just a little soft and musical, her way of speaking making her mispronounce Destruction slightly.

My name is Ballad Destruction, as these two probably forgot to mention. She said, with a withering look at the two siblings. I'm their younger sister. If you meet any of the others, they'll have to introduce themselves, because I'm afraid it might confuse you. No offense. She said, and glared at her paw. And, I don't really like having to explain why my paw's hurt, so please don't ask.
