I am Dented, by the skies that keep me up at night

"I know I'm getting older but I'm not told I'm temporarily out of my mind."

Jay had been sick, but now she was recovering. Tomie, Req, and phantom were already out and about while their sister had remained inside the cabin den. Furs lined shelves she had placed herbs on and the floors were covered in pelts and other soft things. Really it didn't occur to her that moving to a ship like this would mean comfort. She remembered not too long ago the unclaimed land had made her meet some scary snow leopard. Jay was feeling better now she was moving around like the rest of her siblings but this would actually be her first day out of the den.

"Make sure you all stay close to your sister today okay. A pups first time out of the den especially after being sick can be a bit overwhelming." after all she wanted to encourage them to interact with each other. She'd never had a relationship with her full siblings - though she had slightly connected with Venom. Voodoo wanted her children to CARE about each other. Just as she cared about the wolves in the Menagerie. Voodoo stepped out onto strip of wood that led outside. Basking in the evening light as the sun was beginning to set.

His mother said stick close to his sister, but he'd always done that. He wasn't interested in being her guard and especially when it was getting dark and he could explore. He stayed though, Que liked hanging around his family despite that. He didn't understand why he didn't really... care, that Jaybird had been sick. Yet he simply chalked it up to be normal and continued about his day. The albino's fluffy paws hit against the floor of the den as he scrambled silently in front of the others. Like a snake he found the shadiest corner to shove himself into before hunkering down.

Almost like a cat his red eyes scanned each and every one of them. Que enjoyed watching rather than engaging. Though he didn't mind a tustle or two with his siblings from time to time. Though he hadn't really spoken anything since he was born. His mom just said maybe he didn't like words. A silly idea - why did he have to talk to accomplish anything of value? He narrowed his eyes, he must collect more information.

Jay was convinced she wasn't sick, she hadn't ever been sick. It didn't really matter to her stuck in the den longer than her siblings or not. Mama didn't have to treat her special. However the pup happily snuggled into Voodoo's fur giving a few gentle nudges before looking up with her black eyes. They seemed like endless voids at times splashed against her black colored head. Jay then turned to the entrance following her mother out. She glanced to watch Que try to settle himself into a dark corner like he usually did.

"Am I gonna meet someone in the guild?" she asked looking at her siblings then to her mother. Her paws tingled with excitement she wanted to explore. She wanted to know! Jay wagged her tail happily as she grinned at her siblings. Wondering to herself she fell into a play bow. Maybe one of them would want to wrestle with her for the first time? She didn't know that her illness probably made her work a little less these past few days.

"Hello, Voodoo."

Wren sucked back a hearty yawn, exiting from her quarters and seeing the young mother. She made a beeline for her friend, bumping her shoulder affectionately against her own before turning to look at the pups. While she knew the names of all of them, it still was important that they were aware they were part of the guild. Her face split into a friendly grin.

"How about the big lady honcho?" she directed, puffing her chest out dramatically to the girl "my name is Wren, Warden of Menagerie. Basically, I'm the leader" If the puppies zoomed in on this, she'd chuckle fondly. It felt nice to have another healer, sure, but she was just glad Voodoo was okay "I don't know if you remember me but... I helped move you guys to the guild when you were tiny."

Er. Tinier.

"Who wants to play a game? Let's give your Ma some rest, okay?" she looked to Voodoo, grinning.

They were coming out of the den today. Phantom was quiet most of the time much like Que. Jay had been sick for a while, most of her life, really. Even though they really weren't that old yet, but in Phantom's mind, it certainly felt longer than it had been. He was curious to know why Jay had gotten sick. He watched her with a tilt of his head, coal black eyes observing her as she snuggled with their mother before dropping into a play bow, wondering if they'd meet anyone else from the guild today. While Phantom didn't yet know what a guild was, he was sure they'd learn sooner or later.

He stepped out of the den, creeping closer to Jay. He wanted to see if she still held any symptoms from the illness she had, curious to know if it was contagius or not. But if it was, wouldn't he and Que be sick, too? So maybe it wasn't that bad. After all, she seemed about ready to play! Before he could ask her anything, a larger brown wolf showed up, bumping against his mother's shoulder and as she approached, the boy's striped rump dropped to the ground as he sat and watched her. She called herself Wren. Menagerie's Warden. A leader. The leader of this guild? Or whatever it was? He cocked his head to the side a bit as she told them she helped move them here when they were smaller. His memories of his earlier days were fuzzy. Vague. But he somewhat remembered her scent. At the mention of a game, his ears perked up. "What kind of game?"
