It had been storming all day, but whereas most storms would let up this one only got worse. And worse. And worse. Sverre had never experienced such a horrible wet storm before. Blizzards, sure, but whatever this was? Never. Rain wasn't exactly common where he was from, though not unheard of. Whatever brewed out over the ocean was much different than the blinding and bitter cold of the north. He hadn't been homesick until now, pressing on through the high winds and sharp rain against his better judgement.

Everything within him screamed at him to find somewhere to hunker down and ride out the storm, however his eyeballs hold him there was nothing around for that. He needed to find somewhere else better to hide because the coast was definitely not it. Aching muscled pushed the man forward and through the thick sand. He couldn't see anything before him, fiery eyes squinting through the rain despite being unable to see beyond his blue nose.

Sverre cursed as he moved, bitching with almost every step as he trudged through the storm, unaware of the trees cracking around him and how at risk he was for one falling on or near him.

Ryzen sat on the log as it traveled through the water. His paws holding tight as he was hunkered down against it. Having taken to the moving tree as it was washed down the coastline. The darkened sky and heavy rain made it hard to see where he was at the time. However, he stayed upon his tree for the time being as he was much too short to try and walk on the ground.

He soon saw the other wolf as he rode by his paws hooked against the tree branches to hold himself in place. He watched the cliffside as he hoped to pass by a dip or lower edge of the cliff.

He only had one shot to get onto the land. The water would prevent any serious climbing due to how much was pouring and his height would make it impossible to swim. However, as the tree passed between several rocks he realized his time was quite limited. Seeing a nearby clearing that seemed just low enough. He finally took a deep breath and ran along the branch leading to the land. Curling his legs before he threw his body at the higher ground. His fur was wet but with the higher land, he had a brief moment to recover. Soon following after the other running wolf. Hoping to find a shelter or get their way out of the storm's radius.

Sverre hadn't seen the other wolf riding the log down the coastline, the rain too heavy to see very far and too painful to open his eyes beyond a squint. He scowled through the storm as he trudged on, head low as he pushed through the high winds with agonizing steps as he sunk into the wet sand. The storm was far too loud for him to hear the log crashing to the shore and the wolf running up from behind. It wasn't until he saw a blur of something moving past his left side that he was aware he wasn't alone and suddenly he called after the wolf (or something?) afraid that it may crash into one of the many trees littering the coastline.

"Watch out for the trees!" he yelled to the other, just in time for a heavy and loud creaking to sound off above him. Sverre was quick to jump out of the way when the tree fell and crashed into the sand with a splash from the rain that couldn't soak in fast enough. His heart raced with adrenaline as he stared at the tree for a moment before his head snapped back in the direction the other had ran. Was it even a wolf? Brows furrowed as he pressed on, pace quickening but certainly not into a run. The man trotted through the wet sand, squinting his eyes as he searched for something he couldn't see. The storm was too thick and strong; for all he knew, the other wolf was standing right before them and wasn't even a wolf.

Ryzen had paused briefly as the sudden landing and change of stability under his feet meant he needed a moment to adjust his stance. Ryzen could still feel the swaying of the log he was on, but given the power of the wind and everything he wouldn't have enough time to resituate himself and would have to make do with what he could get.

The harsh storm blew debris and other small stones over Ryzen's body. His low-to-the-ground stature meant he was getting dirt and other things on his face . He needed to squint and hustle with a stable wobbling. His body moving past as he flicked his ears hearing the tree come down.

His body trembling as he felt the power of the falling tree shake the floor. However, he only stumbled forward and kept his movement at the same pace. He couldn't speak at the moment due to the fact if he opened his muzzle he'd likely be eating alot of sand so he just kept his pace. The patchwork wolf moving steadily forward. His fur speckled with dirt and debris. He kept moving knowing he could start talking with the other wolf once they escaped the storms radius or found shelter. He kept his eyes peeled for any cave like opening. Maybe it was do to his lower stature however he soon saw a darker spot in the wallside cliff. He finally spoke as loud as he could saying, "To the left!" getting a mouthful of dirt and debris he began to chew it as he whimpered and kept moving making a sharp left in hopes of the cave not just being an illusion.

His footing was silenced and hard against the wind which was now blowing at their sides. meaning he needed to resist being rolled over as he was pressed by the wind. However as he got closer he could notice the cave. It was a little on the narrow side but the would both fit inside till it passed. He made his way into the narrow passage going as deep as he could before turning around. The cave was maybe two feet from wall to wall. So enough to turn around but it was certainly a small cave for the two of them.

The storm was so powerful that Sverre almost couldn't hear himself think. The water beat into his skull, though occasionally it felt like something other than rain. He didn't stop to think about it and pressed on, uncertain to where the other creature had gone until he barely heard something call out to move left. He wasn't in an argumentative mood and eagerly changed direction against the winds and moved until the found the cliff side. The storm threatened to pin him against the natural wall, but even he could tell it was eroding in the storm and washing away. Come time this storm would end, the beach they were trapped on would likely look like an entirely different beach. Shame Sverre didn't know what it looked like yesterday.

A small cave became present to the man and he dipped inside quickly, relieved to have found shelter. At first he didn't notice the other inside; his eyes pinned shut as he removed the water from his coat, but opened them to find a very narrow and small cave and who he assumed to be the one that called out. "Thanks," he said, quickly fitting himself into the narrow cave alongside the other wolf to ride out the storm. It would be tight, but it was better than being out there.

As they both settled into the storm he looked up his fur somewhat soaked for a moment as they moved to settle near each other. Wasn't quite the view he hoped for however, he figured it was only for at most a day. Afterwards, they could go and catch something that was ended by the storm. He figured some might not have been as lucky to escape. The patchwork fur looking rather shoddy as he sat there. Both of them would only be able to see bits and pieces of the others fur due to the mud and debris soaked into their fur.

Ryzen sat waiting on his ears to stop ringing for a second as they had been abused and folded back by the harsh winds of the storm. In that last part he thought he was going to lose them for a moment. His ears folded inside out over his head as he started to work on pawing it forward

This had him leaning forward and reaching his paw forward and patting at his ear. His beans missing a few times as he didn't quite have a great dexterity with them when it came to finding the problem. His head against the floor as he continued with his left paw soon getting the first ear he could hear the weird pop as it positioned back to normal before starting on the other, he felt it was rude to keep the other waiting so he finally broke the silence. "My name is Ryzen, I suppose since we are stuck here for a while it's only fair to introduce myself. "
