Winter had melted into spring, and Cy decided she'd make a bit more of an effort to be... around. Be visible. Ashen was supposed to be her home, after all, why did she still feel like an intruder? An outsider? It seemed like she was surrounded by koi most of the time, though maybe that was self-imposed. It didn't help the way she got in her own head, though. None of it helped the way she got lost in her thoughts, and the way those thoughts were less than kind to herself. Right. What it all came back to, in the end, was that Cy was at fault. Well, the islands that made up the Archipelago were still technically home, right? Home. What a laugh. Cyanide tossed her head as she made her way across the sandy beach, exploring. Always exploring. Always looking for something new, something that would be new news to her. Something like that. Her mood was its typical, stormy normal. Always a war going on inside her head, Cy marched deeper into the new growth of spring foliage. There had to be something new, something interesting out here. In her mind, she was alone, save for the mid-afternoon sun on her back and the far-above chirping of hatchlings in their nests. Her own company had grown to be her favorite, not out of true fondness but out of self-imposed necessity. |

The coo of the doves along the shore was normal now. No longer did the sound stand out or feel obnoxious. Rather, the petite fae was soothed by the gentle cacophony of the birds. With the sun's rays warming along her back and long tail fur neatly braided to be kept out of the way, Celeste took her afternoon stroll. Her ivory-gloved paws pattered against the sand as she kept an easy pace. Taking time for herself was important these days. Now that she was Renja, there was a need for a work-life balance. Lost in thought as she quietly sang to herself, a rustling caught her attention. Off in the shrubbery, a shadowy figure prowled. Coming to a stop, she turned her aquamarine eyes toward the wolf. Squinting a bit against the bright sun, she took a few steps closer. As a salty breeze washed over her, with it came a familiar scent. "Oi! Cy!" Celeste called out while her tail began to swish in a friendly manner and a smile crossed her lips. "Long time no see girly!" She chirped as she closed the distance between herself and her... friend? Companion? Acquaintance? |
