With Auster’s winter just around the corner, Athena has taken to patrolling the newest Fenmyreian land more frequently. The rains had driven some predators into the land at the beginning of the season; the creatures either too stupid or too brazen to heed the scent markers of their land. With the rains increasing, it seems even more likely that beasts of all shapes and sizes might try to take shelter within the cedar trees.

The earthen female makes her way underneath the canopy, sticking close to the water while constantly scenting the air, keeping alert for any dangers that might appear. As if on cue the musk of a huge grizzly slams into her nostrils, feeling as if someone has slapped her across her face. Paws change direction as she moves to intercept the trespasser, releasing a call for support as she goes. The hulking beast soon appears and Athena snarls in anger, pulling the lumbering lummox’s attention on her. Rushing in, she delivers a strong bite to the nearest paw and lets the bear know she means business.


"Athena Nocturna"

Chimera was also patrolling their newly acquired land on this day. He caught the scent of Athena, but was letting the woman go on about her business. That was, until he heard the sounds of a scuffle. Quickly, the brute made his way through the trees and came upon the scene of the gold marked fae locked in combat with a bear. Surprise, surprise. This wasn't their land anymore, but they hadn't learned to either leave or play nice as of yet.

Since Athena had a front paw, Chimera went for the opposite hind paw. Teeth latched into one heel and the giant wolf used all of his weight to pull that tree limb of a leg out from under the bear. With its balance off, the bear fell to its stomach with a huff. Chi continued to bite into that back leg, his teeth cutting through fur and flesh. The bear didn't seem to like that much and kicked out, trying to free its paws from the bites of the wolves.

"Chimera Klein"

Athena bites at the bear’s huge paw, causing it to roar as it tries to dislodge the wolf that tugs on it. The huge, black and white form of the Fenmyre King appears, coming up behind the grizzly and grabbing the back-paw opposite of the one she has. He pulls it out and back and, now with two paws out from under it, the bear collapses onto its belly with a huff.

While Chimera continues to attack his paw, the earthen wolf releases the one she had and lunges toward the beast’s face, teeth latching onto the soft muzzle. Another roar and the bear hefted itself up to swing its uninjured front paw toward her. Because of its awkward position and the wa, it has to leverage its body, Athena is able to read the swing and intercept the paw with ease. With a loud growl, she thrashes her head, dealing damage to yet another of the grizzly’s paw.


"Athena Nocturna"

Both wolves drew blood on the bear and it roared in anger. Athena sank her teeth into the beasts soft nose and all of its attention was on the gold marked fae. Chimera took that opportunity to dive under the bear and tear at its tender underbelly. Teeth sank into flesh and the Fenmyrian kings mouth was rewarded with blood. There would be no vital damage. Just a hefty amount of scarring.

The bear threw its weight down and Chimera barely managed to escape the beasts full weight. One hind leg was trapped for just a moment and the brute felt a bit of pain as his limb was overstretched. He grimaced and took a few hops away, shaking his limb a few times while he waited for the pain to let him know if he'd done some extensive damage. The pain began to fade and Chi wasted no time in rushing back into the fight, jaws wide and aiming for the other side of the ursines face.
