Something Zee had missed greatly over the seasons she'd lost with her last litter was play and while her seven newest were little now, she knew their desire to spend quality time with her and their father would one day wane. They'd be too old for games and fun, set off on their own paths that might even lead them away from her. Zee wanted to take charge of today and at the very least, make some memories that she could hold onto even when her little beans were grown and she was old and grey.

Standing at the beginning of the treeline, the once-Queen tipped her head back and sang an inviting song out into the adjacent Col. An invitation for any of her children to join her in her favorite past time - a friendly competition, a race. She had even given herself a small handicap, having tied one of the weighted training bracers to each of her limbs to slow her down to make things slightly more fair.

The song of his mother filled the air and Charlie set off at once. The invitation to join her was something he looked forward to. Maybe, if he was lucky, he would be able to get there before any of his other siblings. His tail wagged back and forth at this thought, an eagerness in his eyes and in his step as he made his way back to the woods where his father had shown him stalking techniques. Charlie wasn’t entirely he had them down yet, but he would keep practicing! The boy was eager to do his parents and siblings proud, even if he wasn’t someone who preferred fighting, hunting, or healing. At least he could dabble a bit in the first two, right? He did his best to make sure his mama wasn’t waiting long, rushing at the last bit when he saw her.

“Mom!” He came up to her happily. He was confused, however, when he saw the weighted braces. “What are those for?” He asked curiously, ears twitching as he moved closer to sniff at them. They smelled a little weird to him.

"Talk," 'Think.'
