The ink covered paws of the lean female over the strange domain that she was only now beginning to get used to, she had ventured in to these lands out of sheer survival instinct The day was somewhat nice, cool crisp air that give the atmosphere fresh feeling that the canines enjoyed after all she was a winter wolf and so enjoyed the chilly weather. Lifting her cranium she allowed the aroma of the air around her fill her nasal cavity, the scent of water soon caught her attention and she began in to a steady gait though the area, her tail curled slightly and levelled out in line with her spinal cord as she swerved around the obstacles that she came in to contact with.

Arriving at her desired location she stepped out towards the river, considering she wasn?t in this area before she was full alert, her receivers swirled attentively upon her cranium in the attempt to capture any sound that may be a potential threat towards her, hearing nothing but the peaceful sounds of the birds and the chilly breezes was all she scoped with her acute hearing in addition to this her amber hue?s slowly glided over the open area before her to further ensure that there was nothing there, once the ghost was clear so to speak she took a stride forwards.

Closing the gap between herself and the river she was pleased to see that the river wasn?t frozen over at least not yet anyways, picking out a spot near the river, she soon lowered herself so her snout touched against the water before her mandible parted to allow her salmon shaded muscle to cup and bring the refreshing water in to her maw before she swallowed, the chilly water send a slight shiver a long her spine as the water hit her abdominal cavity. Once her body was removed from that horrible thirsty feeling she allowed her tongue to slither over her lips to remove the droplets of water that lingered within her fur before she noticed the salmon swimming in the river, tilting her head ever slightly she watched them. It was almost as if the fish was teasing her and with Sable being herself it wasn?t before long that her jaws were snapping to catch one.

Silent footsteps carried the black-masked viking along the border. Silver eyes alert for any movement, ears twitching to better catch sounds, nose quivering for any misplaced... scents. The paws stopped moving, Katja having indeed caught a scent that did not belong. A rogue wolf, intruding on Ebony's territory. And not simply venturing over the border, but moving straight in. Straight, Katja realized as she moved to follow the scent, to the pond that the territory surrounded. Her eyes narrowed. Raider.

She moved more quickly now, though still silently, as she wove her way inward from the border until she caught sight of the pond and... there, the intruder, even now robbing them of the pack's rightful prey. It was in her mind to kill first, and not bother with questions, but she was aware that her new pack did not work in such a... mercenary manner, and that Queen Raisa may not appreciate that action. She moved closer, then spoke in a voice colder than the autumn-frosted ground beneath their feet. "Trespassing you are, stranger, on Ebony's territory, and theft does be a crime. Take you food that does be belonging to hungry pups." Her English had improved since she'd been here, though it still left much to be desired. She eyed the stranger, manner still cold. "Why should I not be killing you now?"

"Speech."
